Maybe it’s the lack of sun to really show the pop of twilight… I’ve checked on forums the g80 with twilight is so nice

Agreed. The Twilight has a pop that differs itself from TNM. I have TNM on my G42 M240 and when clean looks awesome but it's not an electric color. A freshly washed Twilight looks like it's plugged it (if you know what I mean).

Don't get why BMW put all the M Performance crap on the car. People just want to see what it looks like in TP; they don't need all the MP stickers and parts cluttering up the color which they haven't seen good pics of to date.

It’s definitely an interesting decision by BMW to offer another purple color when they could easily just have added TNM to the available M2 colors.Now that LSB has been brought back by BMW it’s a shame they didn’t offer it as one of the individual colors.

I was hoping for techno violet or Daytona for the m2 but we have twilight which does its job. Due to where the m2 is built it’s limited on individual colors… Boston green, sepia, British racing, Laguna seca would slap on this car

Simple reason: it's a press display car. So they use that to show both the color and parts. Contrary to what people believe, BMW USA does not have an unlimited amount of press cars. So they need to make the best of it. It wasn't easy getting that Twilight Purple in time for the event either.

...but they've already debuted the MP parts numerous times before on MY-23-24 cars and none of the MP parts have changed.

Was also surprised when the MY25 debut that they didn't have pictures of the car in all the individual colors in their press release. Maybe there were technical reasons with SLP that complicated getting some press pics of cars with individual colors in time for the press release? That said, five months is way too long to wait for some official press pics of individual colors IMO.

These cars are prepared for media. That doesn't mean everyone has seen the parts before. They are there to create multiple stories. It's not a marketing event or one for customers.

There were some official photos from BMW Plant in San Luis Potosi. But again, for BMW, this was still a small update, so unlikely to spend tons of resources to shoot the car in all new colors. If the cars were made in Munich, way easier to schedule things like a photoshoot.

On top of this, there were no pre-production cars shipped to the M marketing team from what I know. All of them stayed in Mexico. Even when I was there, they only had the Java Green left as a "marketing car", unclear where the others went.

Not only that, on the configurator there’s no mention of them. I know there isn’t on all the other ranges, but when there is literally just 4 to choose from they should be on the configurator along with their cost, just like the Frozen colours.

Wonder how many non enthusiasts have no clue they can even get one in purple, or voodoo, or green.

They already do.
The 1000M is bronze & its a fantastic looking wheel.

I have a short video of just the color under the sun, then a full review of the M2 with HAS installed also, and tomorrow some rolling shots of the Twilight Purple on IG and on the website. I spent a lot of time today shooting the car.
