I don’t think I could do that. If they said a year I’d probably have drove back home disappointed

It took me 54 days from the time of allocation to take delivery on my car. The steps prior to the allocation were complicated and quite a long story. Allocation received on 11/29/2023, car picked up on 1/22/2024. I specced the sport seats so no delay with carbon fiber buckets, and I had the MP HAS kit installed at the port in Baltimore which added a couple business days to the process.

There was lots of luck along the way for me and some of the steps seem to go much faster than most.

Congrats on the new car and good luck with the wait.

Thanks bro. That was a good clear answer. I hope I’m as lucky as you with my times.

oh wow that was fast as hell lol, you got to skip the usual 1month+ wait until that point comes around. If you add the "mygarage chrome trick" extension to chrome browser then click it when you're on the tracking page it'll show you the current code status and production date, the latter should be the day it hits the assembly line but it'll probably move around as it approaches.

The time passes quicker than you’d expect.

Personally, I spent some of the time planning interior and exterior additions as there many options to make your car unique.

This forum provides a wealth of information and ideas to do it.

Thanks I’ll definitely use that. Yeah I was shocked that it came so fast. 10 days from the ordering. I feel lucky. I’ve been reading a lot on here and I was honestly expecting another month or more for the process to start rolling.

Seriously I’ve been reading the very same stuff and making plans. I’ve got a notebook on my tablet with pictures and vids and pages I’ve been organizing out into sections. Head first down that rabbit hole. Lol

I live in the foothills of Appalachia. Some of the most beautiful Winding country roads over hills and through the forest with open valleys between them with straight roads for opening up the throttle . That car was made for these roads. Seriously I can’t wait.

So great. I try to drive to LA once a summer to visit son1. Usually go through the dragon, you’ll have to hook me up with your neck of the woods. I’m hoping to be in a 2025 spring ‘26.

The dragon is my first planned trip after the break in period lol. I’ve did it a few times on a bike but the m2 is making me go back. Hey any time you come through give me a shout and I’ll show you some good roads. Seriously

That was really fast (good timing on the order).
What dealership did you order with in Cincinnati? I’ve contacted one so far and they have marked up the price.

I ordered mine through the bmw store. I sent them an email and asked how long it would take if I ordered one and he called the next morning and said they had one allocation “in hand “ so the time was ripe to order it. I ordered it the next day.

It seems to be moving pretty fast I ordered it on the 13 last month. And I’ll be honest seeing it not progressing was getting to me. Super excited to see it start moving again

Put my name down for allocation end of December 2022. Allocation granted Oct-2023, delivered to dealership 1.5 months later in November.

No carbon options added & manual 6spd.

That’s fast once it started!! I hope mine is that quick I had an allocation when I ordered it. I work away. I’m a captain on a riverboat and I got three weeks left till I go home. So with any luck it’ll arrive during my month home. I’ll be a sad puppy if it arrives the day after I leave again and I have to wait an additional month for no reason. Lol

Oh wow, that's actually pretty tricky. I don't have any "hard stops" on my calendar, and it's still testing the patience for me.

But you literally are gonna be on a boat and can't take delivery for chunks of time. Hope the timing works out for you!
