Like most, I wasn't in love with the choices.

Started with ZB before seeing it and TR in person, at which point I switched the order to TR.

Thought about waiting, but I don't love any of the coming (rumored) colors more than TR.

And I'm already impatiently checking my status multiple times a day...

i only considered BSM and AW. I am happy with my choice but keeping up with a black car is a lot, and i had to just cancel my hand wash monthly subscription as i started to notice micro scratching in the ceramic coating interlagos would be choice 1, hockenheim choice 2, skyscraper choice 3.

I think out of the 3, Skyscraper is most likely color to be available

Agreed black is difficult but awesome clean.
I solved that problem with my ceramic coated BSM using a pressure washer and foam cannon for a touchless cleaning.
My only contact is drying body with a chamois and wheels with microfiber towels.

yeah, i was trying to be too cute by half with it by outsourcing to a (supposedly) better vendor, but if you want a job done right.... I have all the requisite materials (pressure washer, foam cannon, lots of clean chamois) so time to stop being lazy.

as a side note, if you (or anyone) can recommend a ceramic safe wax touch up, i will try to handle the micro scratches myself.

this is unfortunate because i really think interlagos would compliment the car well. these things draws a lot of comparisons to the E46 (earned or not depends on who you ask), and interlagos was THE color IMHO on that car, so i think personally it would be fitting.

I went with entire front end, entire side skirts, roof, rear lower quarter panels, rear lower bumper, a-pilars, side mirrors and I went with exo-shield for the windshield.

Isle of Man Green, or even Thundernight Purple would have been better choices for me.

I currently bought my first black car (M4 GTS), and I probably couldn't do it unless it was a purely weekend car.

Obviously not waiting on anything, but if I were to do it again, I would have loved to get an individual color. Something in the purple palette.
1. Merlin
2. Techno Violet
3. Daytona Violet
4. Twilight Purple
5. Purple Silk
Any of those would be cool, I think I would go with Twilight for the color shifting aspect of it.
But since I can't get any of those and the car looks so damn menacing in black, black it is. I've seen two black G87s around town over the past week and was like, 'damn, that is sick!'

I’d prefer a true blue vs the purple like Portimao Blue Metallic

I don't know anymore. Per the "Known future G87 Models" started by Tag he says the new standard colors could/would be...

São Paulo Yellow
Fire Red
Skyscraper Grey
Voodoo Blue
Java Green
Twilight Purple
Grigio Telesto

Some of those colors are very sweet and many would be happy with a lot of them, just not sure how accurate these rumors are.

That all sounds great. The only thing I can think of is if they’re not spraying that currently in that plant, you can take any of those colors off the list they’re not currently using in that MX plant.

So twilight purple and skyscraper Grey are two for sure potentials.

While it would just take a quick look at some of the other cars like the basic two series being produced there to verify if any of those colors are currently being sprayed.

I used my leaf blower to dry the entire car (my F87, which I just sold with zero swirlies.) I plan to continue the tradition with my G87!
