Are the torque levels exactly the same between the base M3/M4 and M2 at 406ft lbs? Even a little more torque can really show up in a butt dyno.

First, Tag was referring to a comparison between MY23/24 G87 and G80/82. Second, how are we going to compare anything to a MY25 G87 dyno chart when we are still probably 6 month, give or take, untill the first one hits consumer's hands... |

I was meaning comparing a 2023/2024 M2 to a 2025 M2 once the 2025's are out in a few months. That would help answer some questions on this thread. If I meet someone locally in the future who gets a 2025 I would be willing to coordinate a dyno day.

Highly doubt you will find any valid comparisons with all variables being equal and simultaneous. As long as we are talking apples to apples, you should accept some of what is shown from respectable sources. |

stock manual M3's were showing Dyno numbers closer to 500 in some tests, so I think there is a difference between the 2 and this 2025 upgrade will probably just have the same map for both cars. I doubt anybody would be able to feel the difference unless immediately going from one car to the other, but it may help with some of the low end grunt the G87 seems to be missing.

The car is most fun I’ve had in a while. A year in and I still look forward to driving it back home after work. Still happy to take it for a random drive. Didn’t feel nearly as enthusiastic about my F80. 580hp, short shift kit, rwd. Yeah baby. |

Were the conditions the same when they tested both cars? I've said it before, but I seriously doubt BMW is just going to make an on-paper adjustment to the car. All of their cars have historically been conservative with the numbers they list and real world results. I'm sure the dyno results will be different when comparing a 24 and 25 M2, the real question will be if anybody will actually be able to notice it which is much less likely.

Power is 2 x Pi x RPS x torque So 2 x 3.14159 x 5,870/60 x 550 = 338,087W (338kW) And 2 x 3.14159 x 6,130/60 x 550 = 353,062W (353kW) So you won’t notice any difference until you reach 5,870RPM. |
