The dealership I'm working with has sweetened the deal by saying "You're lucky you're getting it at MSRP." Actually, they didn't say that. But I talked to another guy from my town who discussed an M2 with this dealership, and he was told there would be a markup over MSRP.

The reason I got MSRP was because I originally had a $1000 deposit with a different dealership (an hour away). I was talking to a CA at the local dealership, told him I had a 2025 M2 ordered from the other dealership, but no allocation yet. He looked on his locater and said he could get an allocation if I would agree to switch and buy from him. I told him I had an MSRP deal with the original dealership, and he said he would match it.

I did ask about extras. One of them was the G87 winter wheel/tire package, with the staggered 19"/20" 826M wheels. MSRP is $4604; GetBMWParts.com sells for $4310; The dealership offered them for $3950. Not really a great deal, IMO.

Hahha! I got nothing. I actually had to remind them that the deal was at MSRP (agreed in Oct 2022) since they wanted to add $1k on dealer installed crap at the very last minute.

M2s are about the ONLY car my dealer doesn't throw in any freebies or discounts on. They offered all sorts of things if I ordered a G80/G82 or an XM or pretty much ANY other car. Just MSRP, which sucks. Been a VERY long time since I've had to pay MSRP on a vehicle.

me when I asked if there was a possibility of a discount lol.

My best friend is marrying the daughter of the sales manager at the dealer I’m buying at though, so when I show up, I’m going to try and work a $1k discount lol. Might as well try…

You should be able to get it. I was offered 1k off by two dealers a few months ago.
