I don't understand why people freak out when someone gets tasered. Tackling someone and then subduing them results in far more serious injuries 90% of the time, and more often than not the officer gets hurt in the process. He was clearly felling from the officer after being told to stop. Arrest+fleeing=resisting arrest=justified use of force. End of story.

I agree. Society in general has become a bunch of oversensitive little bitches...especially the younger generations. I say this and I'm only 21, but I notice people younger than me are a bunch of pussies..

Fuck that kid.
He knew exactly how wrong this was. He should take the consequences like a man. Just out of interest, what is the kid's reaction to the whole situation? |

This is why we have to take it seriously when an unauthorized person takes the field...

i think there are different types of tazers, there was a 9 yr old who got tazed sometime ago in the news. Some types of tazers only give mild shock..reason for tazing is if they actually tackle or take down a person it'd probably cause more damages

For all those people who say too much force was used, let me ask you this: if it was a 20 something Arab Kid in a thobe and a guthra (full arab gear) would you still say it was too much?

Imagine what would have happened to the gentlemen who ran on the field and congratulated Henry Aaron. Also why is the actual tazing being questioned. Has the child's family tried to sue?

The actual tazing is being questioned because some people think that it was unnecessary for that philly police officer to use the tazer. Those people are also probably the same ones who tend to be left of center in their everyday views on life. This incident just gives them one more thing to whine, bitch and complain about.

So, the kid's name is Steve Consalvi and he apparently called his dad just before the incident to ask permission to run onto the field because it would be a "once in a lifetime chance." His dad said he didn't think he should. He was right.

The guy in the phillies game I don't think so.
To be honest it's kinda scary cause my friend is 22 and he has a pacemaker from a major accident he had, and he's one to have a few drinks from time to time. So it's scary to think that he could get drunk & tazered one day and it could be pretty dangerous........ |
