If given a choice between this brand new so-called 8-series and an 850csi, I would take the 850csi in a heartbeat.

This is BS. BMW has a repuatation to uphold here, not to mention tradition.

The 8 series is a coupe. Don't give me any crap about a "four door coupe" because a four door coupe is a sedan, not a coupe. This is photoshopped rumors and wishful thinking.

Ever seen a two door 5 series? no, because it's the 6. And the 8 is a two door 7, in it's genes. The 3 series only has both coupes and sedans because the 3 series is BMW's bread and butter car, and they want the model name recognition to drive sales. People would be mad if all of a sudden the 3 coupe was called the 435i. I for one would LIKE that, but that's just me.

BMW will think LONG and hard before ever releasing another 8 series, because of the monumental FAILURE which was the 840/850. The name recognition, and fear of that name, is still too fresh in consumers minds. That would be like Ford releasing a new Pinto. Not to mention, a true 8 series become major competition for the 6, which would be undesireable.

Nah, this is crap. No WAY is that the new 8'er.

yea i was going to post for the OP the definition of coupe, "4 door coupe" is not a coupe lol, thats like a hardtop roadster or two door sedan
