I'd take the DB9 for its styling and its performance in one spectacular package! It's like buying a classy lamborghini ya know?

good thing about the astons is you can pull one off whether your 21 or 61 where a lambo you look silly if your going bald or have grey hair, dosent quite suit the agressiveness and the bright colours

He's got a friend at a Jag/Aston dealer and the guy was willing to lend it for the weekend. Lemme tell you, this thing is breathtaking in person (although I hate the line on the hood that looks outta place). The interior is also top-notch, but lacking in ergonomics. Love pushing the crystal start button, the paddles are clicky, and the seats provide tons of support (almost to the point of being too much for a vehicle that's more luxurious than sporty imo). The steering was way too sluggish and 'off' to me. The car really didn't feel (key word=feel) much faster (like 4.9-5.0 secs to 60, but these are real world conditions...) than his current 645Ci. Throttle response was nice, and the paddles are my favorite feature. The lines in the windshield were a huge nuisance. I have to make one HUGE complaint about this car that is absolutely unforgivable: the air conditioner. Top down, the AC is practically wheezing at you, and it sounds like a broken whistle. Way too distracting. Honestly though, the looks are the only thing saving this vehicle from recieving a big from me. Then again, if you're going through a mid-life crisis, don't give a flying **** about how sporty a car drive, and want to have the attention, then I couldn't think of a better car...well in this range ofcourse. We also drove the M6. BIG IMPROVEMENT in speed. Never got to drive it myself though, but damn this thing hauls. The SMG is nothing to worry about. The dealer taught my dad how to modulate the throttle during upshifts so that they were smooth, and after a while he started getting the hang of it. I actually think it looks almost as good as the Aston (but nothing can really touch the Aston when it comes to sexiness), but I'm wierd like that. The noise is far better. It was INTOXICATINGLY good. Top down, full throttle (it was past break in). Insane. The car was also silent when you needed it to be. I wasn't there when he drove the Bentley GT though...he said it was alright, but not sporty enough. Loved the interior though. Bottom line: the DB9 is without a doubt a nice, sexy car...but when it comes to performance and overall quality, there are better cars for the money imo. |

but in my country (the uk ) the aston is held in much much higher regard than a m6 bmw. so who cares when a m6 pulls up next to you, everyone will be glancing at the aston not the m6. the m6 is a wondeful car but is no aston :rocks: in the uk the m6 is 80k the aston 120k big price difference, (pounds sterling, and there is near enough 2 dollars to the pound correct me if im wrong) one represents Motorsport and is built for the ultimate driving experiance the other represents absolute class and style and that your rolling in dough £££ also the db9 still does the ton in 11 seconds and quarters in the 12 quite easily carl |

Idiots like you are why americans get a bad rap.
The rest of the world has different values than you, and hanging clothes to dry on the line is perfectly acceptable. Why don't you go just go back to eating your Big Mac. |

Love the modern interpretation of the classic Aston Martin look. Like a gentleman's Ferrari. More people are going to recognize the AM than an M6 as something special.
How does your uncle like his martinis-shaken or stirred? Any reliability problems?

I LOVE the DB9, such a gorgeous piece of automotive art. I saw one of these here in town in the light blue-silver color, and man was it striking
