I used to own a Jeep Wrangler Sagara Unltd 4Door, they are super fun to drive around the city or trails. This off road vehicles have become more urban in the past 10-15yrs, the new engines 3.6L pentastar V6 are nice they are not loud, they are ok in gas not the best because the wrangler itself is heavy.

The myth of tipovers, rollovers that is for people that don't know how to drive a higher vehicle, of course you cannot take a curve like if you were to drive your BMW duh!!

The new redesigned interior is super comfortable not to mention that you can now get leather seats too! . Alou is right on the spot if you will be doing crawling get the rubicon as you get the aggressive thread on the tires, the undercarriage protection ad the diff locks. Otherwise you will be spending more money on getting all of these things.

The one thing that Jeep still hasnt figured it out or they don't want to is to take the top down is a pain and if you get caught in the rain might as well keep driving lol!

Other than that if you do buy have fun I had to get rid of mine as I was driving about 100KM to work and 100 back home so it wasnt too fun with gas plus I had an 08 and it had the 3.8L engine.

As a second car it may be smart if you need it. But it's a gas hog, if you plan on being a weekend warrior in that thing it's totally worth it. But buy it used their over priced new, you can usually find deals as most people end up hating them after a couple thousand miles because they look cool but are real shitty as a long haul DD lol

I loved my Jeep. In a perfect world I would've kept it when I got my 335.

I have a 335i and my son has a Jeep Wrangler so I have driven both on the same day. You couldn't get further away from a BWM than a Jeep. It is loud, slow and handles like a brick. You will quickly tire of it as a daily driver.

All these haters!

Obviously the Jeep isn't going to be a racecar, but some of these newer ones are pretty damn refined and have everything you could want. The HEMI is quick (not that it's an option for a Wrangler unless something's changed), and makes a Jeep a fun DD'er... at the cost of guzzling fuel. I also feel safer in my Jeep and it will definitely take me more places than a BMW ever will.

But if I were in a climate that rarely saw snow, or I never hit trails, the Jeep wouldn't be an option - BMW would win. Different purposes with different options. You have to decide what fits your needs and wants.

This reminds of when I bought my first BMW. It was 1999. I had my heart set on a Jeep Grand Cherokee. My dad pleaded with me not to buy it and to go with him to look at a BMW (he had a 328 at the time). A BMW didn't even cross my mind as something to buy. Knew zero about them. So to please him we go to the dealer just to look. I ended up ordering a new 2000 e46 323i. Now I'm on my fourth in a row. Thanks dad!!!

I drive a 2013 Wrangler Unlimited in the winter and really enjoy it in the snow, offorading, and just as a change of pace with the top down. That being said I could never not have a sportier DD. From my past experiences jeeps are not the most reliable, but obviously far less to maintain than a BMW. If you could have both you can have a lot of fun with that jeep, but otherwise keep the bimmer.

The frame of my Jeep was rusting out and I didn't want to go through the hassle of having it replaced or repaired. Don't get me wrong, I do think most on here would be horrified to drive a Wrangler after owning a BMW, but not all. Don't forget that Enzo Ferarri himself said that the Jeep is the only american sports car!

I traded in my 2012 wrangler unlimited sahara for my bimmer. I LOVE my bimmer but in a perfect world I would have both. The wrangler is incredibly fun to drive and amazingly capable. Perhaps you can get a used one and keep your bimmer, then you get the best of both worlds! Can't go wrong either way IMO

The wranglers drive horribly, so loud and uncomfortable - for me anyway. I have a Grand Cherokee in the family and there are some days where I consider having that as my only vehicle and getting rid of the 335.
