Do you do it from scratch, or shortcut it?

I'll be honest, we shortcut it. We grab some garlic naan and use that as the dough. I like mine with bbq sauce as the base, do some chicken up in the same bbq sauce and throw it on the pizza, with prosciutto, loads of mozzarella, and either some fresh basil or arugula. Sometimes add some red onion as well.

Fricking delicious.

But I have been contemplating building a pizza oven (in what spare time I do not know), but I think it would be cool having a pizza oven. In which case I'd be going from scratch.

Go for the full flex: You need enough land to shoot in any direction with any gun you have and the bullet never leaves your property.

She used to go full scratch but now uses flat breads for crust....my favourite version has brea and figs with sautéed onions.....damn tasty. She uses a pizza stone that we've had for 20 years.

The real cheat is buy a frozen pizza. Add some mozzarella cheese (they are always cheap with that) and maybe a few slices of pepperoni. Fire up the grill and get it to about 400 degrees. Put frozen pizza with extra cheese on a pizza stone in grill. 8 minutes later good pizza.

Yeah, it really is cheating and might not be as good as some of what you guys make but it is quick and easy.

Fantastic!! I'd be happy to see if I could get better pricing for you on any items you're interested in if you like. I can get most anything and ship to your local FFL.

This is how us single guys do it, lol

Those other fancy methods seem more teamwork based, hence the aforementioned wives contribution towards more luxurious pizza making methods.

Well I am married but pizza is for the nights she isn't interested in cooking. And oddly for a picky eater she does like an occasional pizza.

Scored 1000 rounds of 9mm a few days ago online at a great price. I have also gotten some smaller lots. I have had decent luck with .223 and 5.56. I have a few alerts set up, but once you get the alert you have 5 minutes or less to get the order in. The 1000 round lots of 9mm was gone in 3 minutes! I have a pretty decent stock of everything for the most part. Could use some extra .380 for the wife's carry, but that is really tough to find.

I know I'll sound like a nut, but when ammo is available again for reasonable pricing, I can see myself building quite a stockpile. I hate having to run out and HOPE I can pay $0.50/round for 9mm limited to 100 rounds....

Yep. At the start of the shelter in place I had to wait in line for an hour to get any here locally. Kept staring at the cage hoping that the 500 round value packs weren't going to sell out before I got to the cashier.

went to my local gunshop today to browse around. They have a ruger american rifle in .308 with a scope for $550 i was thinking about picking up. I know prices are a bit high right now but doesnt seem like a terrible deal. Ive been wanting a bolt action for awhile now in .308
Other rifles ive considered are a remington 700, savage axis or spending alot more and getting a kimber montana.
Might hold off for now but curious what you guys think.

Depends on what you're wanting it for I guess, and your overall budget. The Rem 700 is a tried and true platform with a lot of great accessories and upgrades (although I've heard some less great things about them more recently). Tikka makes some very very good, and still affordable, bolt guns IMHO. (I'm doing a Tikka + glass build for an elk hunter).

Personally I would be a little uncomfortable with a gun + glass at $550, but that may be my inner snob coming out. Again really depends on your use case and budget. If you're looking at hunting or long distance shooting, I think investing in good glass, (FFP, good eye relief, low light performance, etc..) is important.

That's how I do it. I buy the box of frozen pizzas at Costco and then add more shit to it and bake on a stone with the BBQ. Comes out great and the kids like it.
