Safe to say everyone’s experience will be totally different lol my car has been sitting at the port for 25 days. RAM was closed out 8 days ago. Spoke to my CA who stated my car should have been at the dealer by now and has no idea why its not there. CA said he had the rep reach out to see what is going on (not sure exactly what that means) hopefully it gets here soon!

Same here! Put mine in the order bank in mid November, and still no allocation . Hopefully my dealer gets one this week bc bmw normally releases allocations the third week of the month

Why is the Glovis Sirius now scheduled to backtrack from Brunswick Georgia back down to Jacksonville Florida? WTF?!?! Suddenly the Golf R or Camaro SS (both in local dealer showrooms) seem more attractive.

My car was on the Viking Destiny and it did the same thing. Then it went to Philly before backtracking to Baltimore.

Moving along nicely, now. MyBMW changed the following statuses on my build:

* 2/25 - Awaiting Transport
* 2/25 - Dispatched from Factory
* 2/25 - At the Port
* 2/25 - In Transit

Called the Genius Hotline today and they confirmed the car actually left the Veracruz port on the Glovis Crystal on 2/24 (so the MyBMW site was a bit behind). Scheduled to arrive at the Baltimore Port on 3/10.

I admit that I don't have a lot of experience ordering new vehicles. However, since my CA assured me that I had an immediate allocation, I felt comfortable that the vehicle would be delivered in a reasonable amount of time. Today I find out from the Genius that my build week is 14, 10 weeks after my order was placed. Okay, maybe I get the vehicle in June. Now, as some have suggested, July is probably the more reasonable expectation. Disappointing, to say the least. When are the 2023 models going to be available for order? Maybe waiting for the new '23 makes sense rather than buying the end of model year 2022.

Exact same information as mine, but the ship will stop in Brunswick, GA March 5 to drop my car off then Baltimore. I should take delivery at the BMW Performance Center shortly there after.

There are some very unfortunate people waiting for their cars and seeing the ship carrying them burning (Porsche, Audi, VW and Lamborghini models). Hope for clear sailing for ours from Mexico.

Apparently my ship (Glovis Sirius) is taking that same route. It left Jacksonville this morning and is heading to Philadelphia, not Baltimore. Baltimore is 100 miles from Philly. It doesn’t make sense to stop in each port, and it certainly doesn’t make sense to stop in Philly first.

I never did find out why it went back and forth like that, but the next stop after Philly should be Sparrow's Point in Baltimore. You're almost there!

got an email update from the 'genius' people...

my car did go into production on feb 3rd and it was supposed to be complete on Feb 24, but "has not yet been marked as such in the system that track production" so it's kind of an update.. but no real info.

I decided to call the genius again and try to make sense of all this. Appears my build was originally scheduled to begin this last week of February. He said that I am now delayed to week 14 because of a parts shortage or I got bumped in the production schedule. Told me there could be a possibility of my production starting the last week of March. Since there is nothing more I can do about it, it is what it is!

My vehicles boat (Glovis Sirius) has finally arrived at the Baltimore port early this morning! Now the waiting game as to how long it takes to get through the VPC. Does anyone have an idea how long this process take?

Spoke with sales advisor.
Production began on 2/4.
Status has not changed since. Sales advisor says that on his end he sees that production is estimated to be completed on 3/11.

Most of the people on the Viking Destiny (including myself) took 2-4 days in Baltimore to close the work order, and another 1-4 days to get on a truck. About a week average.

I have the same order date as well as completion date. However Genius says that might change. It has already changed once. My original completion date was 2/25. The longer it takes the less I want since I would like the lumbar and side bolster adjustment which I didn't order since dealer told me different info. I might just start over and wait longer. I will be tracking this car I think side bolster adjustment would be very helpful to be planted in seat.

I too am in the same boat.. or maybe will be someday... i'm also frustrated, and am tempted to cancel, but then i figure someone else will be getting My Car, and that there isn't any other real options out there that i can just go and buy.. so instead i sit here impatiently waiting..
