No clue. It is apparent that in Charleston it will be picking up a load of Spartanburg built X vehicles to take to the EU, Bremerhaven. Bremerhaven is also the port BMW exports German built vehicles out of.

What’s the longest at 160 ? Has your CA been able to provide you any information at all about what the delay is? |

Status 160
Per my spreadsheet, 43 days, but that was for a European delivery. Lately it's run 3-38 days. Ship timing is everything. If you miss a ship by a day it could be weeks until the next one.

Oh damn this could be good news. I didn't know there was another port for the east coast and was resigned to waiting for the next ship at Veracruz on Aug 3.
Baltimore on Aug 3 sounds much better. |

What could be? Veracruz the only port used for East Coast/Texas shipments.

Let's be precise. Veracruz is the only DEPARTURE port for east coast (atlantic and gulf, really) marine shipments. There are two DESTINATION ports for east coast in the US (Georgia and NY/NJ). Aside: it annoys me how many different names there are for the NJ port complex, it makes google searches a total PITA. |

Altamira is not a departure port for cars. They are listed on W&W and Shipping schedules for BMW as it’s used for sending and receiving parts. Correct, Baltimore is a huge VPC for BMW. They just opened a brand new facility there. EDIT: I think I see where the confusion is. W&W is also used by other car manufacturers, who DO use Altamira. If you care to drive into all those details I’m happy to go over it, but it is NOT used by BMW for cars. |

BMW as well as other German manufactures have used Wallenius & Wallenius for decades. My last German built demo departed Bremerhaven and arrived in Brunswick via W&W. They are also frequently seen at Port Charleston loading X vehicles for worldwide distribution. Shipping companies often sublet from other carriers. The Patriot is owned by ARC an American company -> https://www.arcshipping.com/ The RORO (roll on /roll off) is a car carrier, the Patriot has recently departed and en route directly to Brunswick, Georgia Last edited by T_U_D; 07-21-2023 at 11:53 AM.. |

That is totally inaccurate. See screenshots. Vehicles waiting to be shipped at Port Altamira. A RORO is not used for containers. A container ship holds that responsibility. What is a RORO: https://www.maritimemanual.com/what-is-a-ro-ro-ship/ “Some ro-ro ships are used exclusively for the transportation of cars and trucks across the oceans.” “These are known as Pure Car Carriers (PCC) or Pure Truck and Car Carriers (PTCC) based on what they are transporting.” Edit: More vehicles spotted at Port Altamira. Mind sharing your location and Center? That’s an impressive turnaround, could help others looking for an Allocation. Edit: I see Michigan, could definitely help folks in the Chicagoland area as these lists are DEEP. UP or LP? |

Can you tell when ships are coming into Mexico? My car has been at the dock for around a week. I am guessing that it will need to be dropped of at Galveston.
Thanks. |
