Spotted on I87 near Route 17 in NY, took the pic from my car as they zoomed pass me. Love the color, first time seeing the car in person and ZB on top of it. Can't wait for mine!

EU requirement, all European M2s come this way from the factory, there is nothing to do.
Any other plate holder would be illegal, the bumper is only approved this way.

Well I can see by posts 489 & 493 that some other countries plates use the whole thing, but seems odd to require it if you have a smaller plate. Here in the "land of the free" you can use any mount you want and locate it anywhere on the front (and some states do not require a front plate).

The true answer is “cost savings”.

Switzerland isn’t even a part of EU…

The ROI was low for BMW to develop a bracket specific to CH/AU. So you guys have to suffer…
Swiss cars follow EU regulations, it is too small a market to have its own specifications, Switzerland laws only accept what is homologated for EU (we also have OPFs).
I have received official documentation from Bmw about the front plate holder, I can show it to you but it is in German.

I tried to make a collage with both my 2012 M3, taken on the day it came home, and my 2023 M2!

Those trees have gotten bigger over the last decade! LOL!

I think E92 M3 owners appreciate this car the most. We bought the same car twice!

Except I went from DCT to Manual . I've had 3 Audi's inbetween my e92 M3 and the G87 but it still felt very familiar.

Here is something that I also got a kick out of last night. I found my sales contract for the E92, and it turns out that it's cost was almost identical to the M2. That is pretty amazing that BMW was able to get this car to market at this price point! If you adjusted the dollars for time&inflation, we are getting the M2 for about $18K less than that E92. WOW.

Congratulations! Looks absolutely amazing. Nice to see the UK cars arriving for November deliveries. Making me excited to get mine in around 2 weeks time (if everything goes to plan with delivery).

With all due respect I love the E90/92 M3. But how in the world could they both feel super similar... ? One has no torque & needs to be revved close to redline to get it + paired with a DCT. The other is powered by the S58, has no hydraulic steering & has tons more power plus electronc granny aids...
