Grand Ruby is headed to Altamira…. That makes me wonder is Veracruz really the port they use? Altamira is so much closer to SLP I just don’t understand. On the other hand, if it is Veracruz port. Time to wait on another boat

Well, just called the Genius line and apparently they were closed for a meeting. Sent an email to both my SA and them. OMG, I hope there's an update (a good one).

SA just sent me a pic of my status to let me know there is no update or movement. I'm assuming the big red Stop Sale on there has something to do with it. He originally told me that it wouldn't effect it getting on the boat as that's an issue dealt with upon arrival but not sure I agree or understand as any previous issues with stop sales seemed to have a pretty large impact with movement. But idk...

Stop sale will be addressed once at vpc at port of arrival. Hoping that it gets there soon of course

A dealer needs to have an allocation to allow you to order a car, otherwise you'll be on a waitlist. Basically BMW can only make X amount of cars and BMW gives dealers allocations to allow them to sell cars. (Basically it's a go ahead to order a car.)

Larger dealers tend to get more allocations, but there are also more customers at those dealers. The two largest dealers here in Minnesota had waiting lists to get an allocation and they hadn't received an allocation in a few months.

Make sure to ask your dealer if they have an allocation available, and if so, if there are people on the waitlist. In my experience dealers tend to withhold that info to potential customers.

Ok makes sense. I'll follow up on this and start making contacts. There are a lot of BMW dealers in the tri state area where I live. Wish me luck!

My status changed to "Awaiting carrier assignment". Guess that's good news, right? I thought onces it's on the ship it skips couple of statuses and goes right into "In transit". Interesting.

As of now, none of the 8 m240’s in the pipeline have stop sale, 2 230’s have it

If it did that, you’re on a boat, the Mexican cars don’t update physically until they are on a bot, so you are 99% on the boat

How long were you in quality check I'm going on 3 weeks, no movement it's fustrating, your lucky your getting car soon, looks good mine is the same rims Brooklyn grey
