My order went in today for a 2025 Frozen Portimao Blue II Metallic. 6 speed, carbon package, silver 930M wheels, lighting package, Shadowline package, Alcantara steering wheel, HUD, etc… This will be my first BMW after being an avid fan since I was a child. I’m coming from a 6 speed ZL1 1LE Camaro which I had for two years. I wanted something a little better suited for the street. The Camaro was incredible, but if you are familiar with the 1LE version, it’s a bit too raw for a daily driver and honestly I was doing 130+ everyday. A couple hundred less hp won’t be the worst idea 😂.

Ughh...Well, the average wait times don't seem to be quite that long for others that have posted here. We will know in a couple days if we made Pluto Leader for sure, otherwise we start waiting for Helios Leader!

Looking at the average capacity of a RORO (5k to 6k vehicles) and the max daily output of the San Luis Potosi BWM plant, I think we make the Helios Leader if we don't get lucky and make the Pluto Leader.

The Pluto Leader has left port and is now steaming to Long Beach. My status hasn’t changed, but I’ve heard there is usually a lag, if any if you made it on board let us know!

My status hasn't changed on the web site but on the phone app it actually went backwards some time last night and just reverted about 30 minutes ago. The ship's been out of port for a bit more than 7 hours - any idea how long the delay is before the vehicle status updates? With Porsche it was not long after the ship left Emden.

Anybody doing performance center delivery? I live near the Greenville SC plant so I figured why not but the sales guy keeps saying it's going to delay my order months.

Hah! The same thing happened to me! It went back to final assembly briefly on the app before going back to ready for transport. I’ve heard the delay can be as long as 2 days, but BMW genius should be able to tell you if you are on a ship sooner.

You folks have any US dealer recommendations for a 2025 model? Preferably below MSRP on a well optioned car & in California.
I have a good dealer but nothing below MSRP on an ordered car. I saw a bunch of 2024 cars in inventory or soon to arrive.

You might get a deal off what's in stock, but right now there are more buyers than 2025 allocations.

Just checked and I'm now at awaiting carrier assignment.

If we left from Altamira, I'm confused as to what boat we are on. The only RORO's I see that left recently are:

Florida Highway - the schedule I found shows it is only going to Jacksonville and not coming farther north so I wouldn't be on that ship.

Eurocargo Bari - which is going direct to the port at Davisville, RI. Again wouldn't be on this ship.

It would be something if we actually got on the one that arrived in NY already and the tracker was way behind. Wishful thinking and unlikely.

I will call genius as soon as they open.

Same here, it's in Final Assembly now in the app, after being ready for transport for a month. Hopefully that means something is happening, odd seeing all these later builds get shipped before mine. I really have to stop checking for my own sanity lol

Genius is closed for holiday

My dealer says it left yesterday but doesn't have boat name yet. Only RORO I see that left Altamira yesterday is Florida Highway which is on it's way to Jacksonville. I don't see it going anywhere after that.
