(Please forgive me, detractors of this series of whom I was so quick to dismiss haha.)

I just finished the 1st season of The Rings of Power...even the ending song was horrible, talk about amateur hour! LOL..and to think that their budget was 3x that of HOTD?? Give me 1/2 hour, I bet I could think of a way better script w better characters, settings, etc. Talk about destroying Tolkien's legacy.

Careful, people have different opinions and get their knickers in a knot when you say things like that!

Couldn’t agree with you more though.

Absolute dribble!

I said it earlier, we couldn't get past 2 episodes and my wife is a big fan. I find that the whole "Fantasy Genre" for lack of a better term is either hit and miss. We loved GOT and the HOTD is doing ok but I won't watch just because its a certain genre, it's either watchable or not for us. I might get flamed for the sacrilege.

George RR Martin himself praised Paddy Considine for giving Viserys a tragic edge that was not featured in his writing. I also like the idea of Alicent being friends and the same age as Rhaenyra, as in the books she is older, this adds a greater betrayal to their relationship in my opinion. That being said, I do wish we see more of Aegon II's dragon Sunfyre, as he will be very important, and is also referred to as one of the most beautiful dragons to have lived.

I personally cannot wait for the dance to be in full force, the Targaryen Civil War will be incredibly devastating, with many sad deaths and battles ahead of us. Martin has said that in order to fully flesh out the series, he thinks that four seasons should be able to cover it. The dance itself is only roughly two years, although I have a feeling they may change that for the series as the ages of some of the characters may not work at the moment for some of the scenes/results of the war. They should also be introducing new characters next season including Alicent and Viserys' fourth child Daeron who they have strangely decided to not mention at all in the first season despite his prominent role within the dance.

Ya, Paddy did a great job w such a 'weak' character who apparently wasn't really fleshed out from the books. That's great they made that change putting Alicent and Rhaenyra being of similar age; these changes remind me of the many improvements The Boys made over the comic, just smart writing. That's the huge advantage HOTD has over the Rings prequel, the former has the full power of the author/creator plus some pretty darn good show-writers whereas the latter had some kids drawing w thick coloring crayons lmao. Holy moly was the prequel SO bad...I'm incredulous that they couldn't see it and actually thought putting up a bunch of 1D characters (who had little screen time to develop and/or one really doesn't care for) is ok. I could go on and on about how bad the prequel screwed up, it's last-season GOT bad.

I just started watching "The Peripheral" and "Electric Dreams"……the latter being similar to The Twilight Zone, Black Mirror, etc.

I just watched Paul Hollywoods Big Continental Road Trip. Its only 3 episodes but I thought they were really good and entertaining, kinda like a poor mans Top Gear, but in a good way. I wish they had more episodes.

Still watching & loving "The Cleaning Lady" and just started 2 vampire series...Reginald The Vampire & Let the Right One In. Two very different shows, Reginald is pretty funny and a little ridiculous. Let the Right One in is serious, so far only saw the first ep so I'm still trying to get the whole jist but so far its been pretty badass! Love the cast

I'm just now starting season 4 of Ozark. What a magnificent series, Bateman is perfect for the role.

We need to finish it, I think we are 3-4 episodes into Season 4 but lost interest because it's such a heavy, depressing show. Even though it's brilliant. Like Breaking Bad. Great writing and acting but sometimes you need a break.

Haven't been watching much TV lately aside from HOTD, but excited for The White Lotus to return for season 2 this Sunday. Also great to see Jennifer Coolidge back as her character from season 1, and excited to see what's in store for Aubrey Plaza's character.

Ozark season 4 was awesome. That Wendy Byrd has some serious Hillary Clinton vibes. Amazing acting and plot. Twists all the way to the very end.

In the off chance anyone hasn't seen it, it is as good as TV gets, check it out.

I am still upset that Laura Linney was robbed of an Emmy for her performance as Wendy, especially the end of season 3.

I mean seriously, some top tier acting and writing in this scene!

I really enjoyed the first few seasons of Homeland. I kind of lost interest in the last two seasons, but definitely a good show.
