Low-to-mid 20s are forecast tonight. If that happens, the early-blooming magnolia and cherry trees (which are spectacular right now) are going to get hit.
 Spring weather is so variable here that some of the plants that are better-suited further to the south of us don't always hold up so well.

Cold/windy here today, with highs forecast to only reach the mid-30's F.
Down yonder at our SC tree farm, the forecast is sunny and 72 F.....

We had several days of 70F highs to tease us about the coming on spring and now it's back to cooler weather. But no freezing temps for now.

Hazy right now but it's supposed to clear up. High is forecasted to be 74°F.
Couple more days of rain coming but it won't amount to much. |

In Northern Virginia, it was 27 this morning. Last week we were in the 60s for morning temps...at least it's keeping pollen down, just a bit.

Freezing rain and 31 F here right now, with heavy rain (3+ inches) and a wind advisory for 50 MPH gusts this afternoon into the overnight. In other words, the perfect weekend to go outside and change the differential oil in the almost-Mighty Freightliner.
The only positive thing about today is that the rain is giving everyone's allergies a reprieve by washing the tree pollen out of the air.....
