Thanks. She is well.

She is the smartest person I know. Really. Going to school behind her was a torture session.

Wow. That's tough. What a waste of a life..
Hope she is handling it well.

I spent 7 hours watching Christmas movies, and have 3 Steven Segal movies lined up. Don't know which is worse, but I'm not going out in the snow today.

That's horrible. My dad has 2 solid AWD Bimmers in the garage but still drives a Camry (not even a year old) to work everyday. I tell him all the time that it's not a very solid feeling car. It slips and doesn't inspire the least bit of confidence in wet conditions (we live in the Pacific NW so it's always wet). Before that he daily drove a Civic which had the same issues. You really notice the difference behind the wheel of a German luxury car, they are built so solidly and engineered to perfection. Not lazy like Japanese cars.

His rationale is that "I'm a simple man and those Bimmers cost too much to maintain so I want to keep the miles low." Absolutely true, but it's not worth compromising his safety.

My confession is that I am a typical BMW douchebag behind the wheel. I reinforce brand stereotypes and fully believe I am driving the most capable, most badass looking, and most luxurious vehicle on the road and therefore, can do what I want. These cars give you a sense of superiority and bring out the rebel in you. When I get behind the wheel of my other "normal" car I drive like a grandpa because the car doesn't feel capable at all.

I absolutely, under no circumstances, drive rash when (a) it's wet, (b) it's dark, or (c) when there are a lot of cars around. Otherwise try your best to catch me on a sunny Friday afternoon.

Another confession: I believe with all my heart that people who want a "comfortable" and "easy" car to drive should go take a hike and buy a Lexus or a Merc. Stop ruining the BMW brand. It's no secret that corporate is catering to this poser crowd and watering down the driving dynamics big time.

Think the subject was "confess" and not "I'm-a- wannabe-bad-ass-because..."
