Alright. So my G87 is expected to arrive at its destination port tomorrow afternoon. From there it’s off to the dealership. My question is, how long does it take from them on? Is it a week? Or more?

Yeah mine flipped to "At the port" on 8/11 which lines up with the most recent port call for the Aquarius Leader. Looks like we were indeed on the same boat

I called on the 25th and they had an allocation so I went down did all the paperwork and got my production number on the 26th.

Genius said my estimated production date will be Dec. 1st but from what I’ve been reading you won’t know for sure until you get your VIN.

Fingers crossed it’s quicker than expected and we’re on the same boat.

Probably won't be taking delivery at the same time. Talked to BMW Genius today and they said my order isn't scheduled for production until Week 4 '25

I wouldn't take what they say as a definite answer until you get a VIN.
Looks like some people are told one thing then once they get their VIN it's sooner than expected.

I'm just trying to stay positive and use the extra time to purchase parts for it haha.

Nice! My status flipped back to “At the Port” a few days ago. The Aquarius Leader is headed to Japan, so I’m guessing my car was unloaded in CA to wait on another vessel headed to Hawaii. I’m going to call Genius today. Hope you get yours soon! 🙏

At this rate with no allocation yet I'm not optimistic I'll get a car before summer.

Yeah it seems its all luck depending if the dealer you went to has spots or not. If you don't care about waiting dont worry about it ig but like other poster suggested maybe call around and see if a more remote dealership has a spot available now.

I have a relationship with this dealer.
I'm not pressed. I have my i4 that I'm keeping.

I'm up next for the allocation. They have only gotten one allocation last month. They don't anticipate any for August. They expect Sept for their next., which would be mine.

Nice! That seems like a long wait from Production Begins to the body shop! Mine has been in Prod Begins for 8 days and I'm already getting impatient! LOL

Yeah. 21 days of nothing, at least according to the tracker. Obviously a LOT of things were happening during those 21 days. BMW needs to work on their tracker accuracy. It’s like old Windows progress bars.

What is your production week?

You won't see an update unless they pull you from the schedule and you go back to "Order Received" or you get a VIN.

Same deal here - what color is your car, mine is Skyscaper, another person had the same deal and his car entered prod yesterday and got a vin - his color is Zand

Maybe I missed something but Week 36 is September 2nd. No one in week 36 will get a VIN until week 36. Sorry if that's already understood and I just need to read further back in the convo to know that.

Skyscraper Grey and scheduled for week 36 here too.
