As long as the snugness isn't an issue, I've not had any occurrence of numb butt (can't say the same about the normal M Sport seats or even the ones in my 992).

The only thing I find fatiguing with them is the headrest pad is too far back for me. They are removable so I use the Individual Headrest pillows from my previous M760 with a strip of Velcro attached and put one in place if I have to spend more than a couple of hours in one without a helmet.

Unless you're tracking the car, I'd say no. They are beautiful though.

I sat in them for around 10 hours total the first day I bought the car, I was never uncomfortable a single time. They are simply fantastic seats with the looks to match, and again it's the only thing I miss about the G82 I had.

BMW has pretty much universally awesome seats, but those carbon buckets are just a bit better than even the comp seats I had in my F82 Comp.

I would take those carbon buckets over ANY other option for the G8x including laser lights, carbon package, etc.

Hopefully they don't screw around with MT power output since MT would be the only model remotely worth buying this time around.

It's really hard to tell. I want to say it has them, but I can't tell if it's just my mind telling me I what to see. The buckets would be huge on this car if available, they're the only thing I liked about my G82 when I owned it. If the new M2 has them as an option I'll likely get one.
Are they really worth $3,800+ in upgrade? That's a heck of a lot of money. Residual value on them is probably only 20%…. Do they improve the experience that much??
You can't really buy seats like that for anywhere near that price. Its a steal. But it's not a no brainer. Modern M cars are still mainly daily drivers and GTs. The new M stock seats are really damn good (finally). As someone who always springs for the sport seat option, this is one of the few cars I wouldn't simply because the stock seat is so competent and fits the cars character well.

I don't know, they're going to detune it and the stock tune on the m2c sucks. If it can be flashed tuned or you get the CS I'm sure it will be great though.

Over on the g80 board a lot of people don't like owning the bucket seats because getting in and out is difficult for some. Others find them uncomfortable in some way. They're a steal if you want bucket seats, but the question is do you really want bucket seats?

I do like the looks, rear is a bit low, hopefully the main thing is fixed in this gen, the horrible understeer.

As well as carbon bucket seats it looks like it's running 20" wheels front and rear instead on 19" on the front. Given the extra camouflage around the hofmeister kink I wonder whether there will be an embedded BMW roundel there?

The standard version should have around 450ps, maybe this one will have the base M3 engine with 480ps. So at least even the competition will be available with the 6MT.

Good color, buckets and a manual trans and I'd be very tempted to trade in the F87C.

The only hint we got was from Lemetier commenting that in the latest video it sounded like it was the special edition model they're testing... maybe there are some visual clues, too, but that's all I know of thus far.

You're joking right? Understeer? The only way this car understeers is if you have the wrong tyres on. Having tracked the M2C with Cup 2s on, the car sticks like crazy and the only way it becomes unstuck if you push it too hard out of a corner and induce oversteer. The only time I experienced understeer in an M2 on track was when it had crappy continental tyres on.

You didn't like the X3M?
I agree on your M2C assessment. It's not just about the engine but the overall tuning and balance. The M2C is well balanced from all angles!! It almost feels like a NA tuned car with turbo capabilities. Plus it has a personality that's hard to beat.

M2, understeer? What?

Are you maybe thinking the new FWD 2 series? The M2 is definitely not known for understeer.
