Yup the sound on their EL mid is just a bit more aggressive. They had 15% off for labor day so waiting for black Friday sales in a few weeks to see if about that or better. Plus should be done with the break in service by that time too 🤗

Mine docked on a wed, worked order opened on that immediate Friday, was on hold for parts, caught a truck about 11 or 12 days after the work order and arrived in Phoenix 2 days later. Port installed options were HAS, CF spoiler and front air inlets just to give you an approximate time line.

Yep, I think we should know by late tomorrow/early Saturday if mybmw updates correctly. I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't update until we land on Tuesday, the 24th.

From there I assume another week through VPC to dealership if no port installs. I opted out of port installs and will be taking her to EAS in Aneheim for wheels/tires + skid plate + suspension in one swoop right after break-in service is done. Of course, this is all after PPF + Ceramic...unfortunate that our hobbies are a literal money pit

Spoke with Genius (because I am impatient and need to schedule my PPF Apt lol) and they said basically we won't know if we are getting on the boat until we are already on it

Weird that they can't see assignment yet. Makes one think why even have the "At Port" or "Awaiting Assignment" an option.

Wait til the ship gets to the port and unloads. It may get scanned then and that will trigger updates on the tracker and BMW system so your CA would see that on the VIR.

I thought I missed a previous boat because my status didn’t update. It finally did 1-2 days later. So still a shot.

I called both my CA and Genius line and both said the car was in Mexico. Then I got a text from my CA who informed me it was actually in California so don’t give up hope yet!!!

I doubt anyone will change for a couple days. I just talked to the "genius" who told me the car is built but it usually takes 8 weeks to ship out blah blah blah. She told me this is the longest phase and I almost laughed, as if it didn't take months for me to go into production after I got the allocation.
