what's up with Acura's grills? All of them started getting these shield like looking things on top. It's not pretty but does it serve a purpose?

I answered this question but you're not the only one to ask it after my post. It is Honda's attempt at creating a signature for the Acura brand, such as our kidneys. This is the 2nd car to get this treatment after the TSX and the RL I believe will come next. There is no working function of the 'grille'.

Wow, I can't believe they actually implemented some of the design cues from the hideous Advanced Sedan Concept...

This is a joke right, that is one ugly car. Front to back, the accord is better looking.
My '04 TL was way better looking. I think that design is going to polarize the buyers and will not be as successful as the current car. Acura keeps falling behind in design, it keeps looking more like a Saturn. GL to any buyer. |

[QUOTE=Joey Babs;3077040]Im seriosuly SO dissapointed in Honda/Acura. I had a TSX and i loved it, I also LOVEDDDD the TL when it first came out. The new TSX, TL and RL are a mess. Wtf did they do, there is NO flow to any of their cars and they've made them HUGE. Look how big that thing is! Its almost a carbon copy of the out going Maxima too!!! UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Im really just in shock at how badly they have destroied their line up. Damnit Acura...... damnit....
[QUOTE] Actually, the new TSX looks pretty good in person IMO. I hated it when I saw the first pictures, but I saw a few this weekend and it looks good (especially in dark colors). Hopefully the TL will have some similar in-person successes (although, it doesn't have a "normal" looking rear like the TSX does). We will see.
