Bottas spinning in the pitlane during FP2

The Finn was leaving the pits on a fresh set of hard tyres to start a race-simulation run, but lost his Mercedes as he floored the throttle over some painted areas in the pit lane.

Bottas ended up broadside across the pit lane in front of the McLaren garage, with the McLaren sporting director complaining that the incident was "absolutely ridiculous" and saying that he "could have taken out our guys there".

Bottas, who ended the session 12th fastest after following a different run plan to Hamilton, will be investigated by stewards after the session.

So with Riccardo 2nd fastest in the practice, I wonder if he's going to show some fireworks next sunday.
In the French GP he managed to get sixth, but in his race he had some spectacular overtakings.

Well..BOT has a 3 grid drop and 2 penalty points for spinning in front of Mclaren pit crew,Masi didn't take well to BOT's explanation that Merc were trying 'something new' getting away from the pit.

The Finn is too honest for his own good. Hammy looked to have at least equal pace with Max. His fastest lap was deleted due to track limits.

Teams will have to gamble for qualification and race “rain expected” setup.

Low downforce, top grid position with a less than ideal set up for the rain.

Or

High downforce, sacrifice grid position for better race setup.

RBR engineer told Checo on the radio that many teams were running max power engine modes for practice so don’t get concerned with his time.

I’m not sure how the engineer knows.

Tbh I don't like this tendency of continuously changing the helmet design.

I like driver helmets to be immediately recognised. Mansell and Senna's helmets hardly ever changed and they became iconic.

In free practice that is allowed I guess.

I know the race pace gap between RB/MERC and the rest of the field is still immense. In france it was +50sec I believe?
