It had the most action IMO and I really enjoyed the addition of certain characters: Marovengian, The Twins, Train Conductor, etc. That highway chase and shootout scene was and still is Epic! And you? |

For me it'll always be the first one. At the time hadn't seen anything like it. It was revolutionary for its time, and it had you guessing what would happen every step of the way. The story was new and fresh and a little weird but always intriguing. While 2 was good, we already knew what to expect by that point, so to me it didn't have the magical aura of the first one.
I'm excited for this latest one mainly because of just how long it's been since the last one was released. Very curious to see what effect decades of advancement have on it.

#1 by far for the reasons said above. 2 was ok. 3 was trash.

Did anyone see The Thirteenth Floor? I believe it came out the same year as the Matrix and is also about living in a simulated universe. I saw it a loooooong time ago so I can’t remember exactly but I THINK it was pretty good. More of a drama less action.

I am more excited about "Matrix Awakens" tie-in, which is a Playstation/Xbox demo showing what is possible in the next generation of open-world console/PC simulations. It blew me away, and I hope we won't have to wait too long for PC sims based on that groundbreaking rendering engine.

Not a good look: https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.the...w-keanu-reeves
Real shame but there was little chance of them catching lighting in the bottle like the 1st film, and damn the 1st one was just about perfect. |

I don't give AF what no "critics" say!
I will be seated in my Home Theater at 8pm tonight with snacks and root beer with my system cranked up for THIS!!!! The only thing, they missed a great Name opportunity: Resurrections is cheesy. They should have called it "Rebooted" for multiple reasons. |

I don't need to wait for the critics to tell me that it probably won't be very good. Watching the trailers I was just like "meh". Nothing looked new or original and they're simply milking stuff they brought out years ago when it was a game changing movie event. It's kind've played out IMHO. I will still watch it at some point since it's going to be free on HBO Max.
LOL. Here's a little sampling of one review: "There's more just than a glitch in the Matrix. The entire server is down." |

It feels like all Hollywood does now a days is just recycle old movies and tropes. I am sure I will enjoy the movie to a degree, the Matrix is a fun 'world' in general. It just seems from the trailers and reviews they reused A LOT. A prequel to the 1st Matrix movie would have been better IMO. A lot more interesting and so many places they could go with it and introduce new actors/characters.
