Collectively on this forum anyone that's been paying attention knows a ton about the G87. Not sure what secrets will be revealed but now I'm intrigued and really hope it is indeed something we don't know. Two more weeks until the embargo is lifted... two... more... long... weeks.

I know you spent some time in person with ZB and didn't like it. Was it outside or only inside?

Hearing other opinions on the color once seen in the sun seem to report that it looks great.

Outside, in the shade and later in direct sunlight. It is awful in the sun too! Sorry, myself and several of my counterparts despise the color. It is highly doubtful one will ever get a kind word from me regarding ZB.

Last paragraph; However, I must say that the BMW XM faced a significant challenge by being included in the new BMW M2 launch program. It can be difficult to remain unbiased or not be swayed by a superior product, particularly when you have the opportunity to drive the back-to-back.

No kidding. I was surprised at the journalist statements they made, and how confident they are in the vehicle dynamics and performance.
Hard to contain my excitement for the purchase considering the drip of information.

It's also very clear the marketing and business development folks knew full well to expect some "feedback".

Reading between the lines it also sounds like SLP maybe didn't hit some targets, or there was an unforeseen issue with paints. Likely an issue with supplier from the body language.

Edit: also huge thanks to BMWBLOG and HB for bringing us this. Really appreciate his channel/platform as there is so much more in-depth discussion, and he seems to take direct feedback/questions from the community. Big ups.

He at least confirmed the wheels were cast so there that. I don’t buy the not having 360 cameras because of cooling, it was cost cutting.
