Too funny. I've had a lot of performance cars, a bunch of Jeeps, couple Corvettes, and other random vehicles over the years. I think we'll be hanging on to these Ms for a bit. I pretty much have my ideal garage now: The exact Corvette Z06 I always wanted, a powerful daily driver sport coupe, powerful SUV when we need to travel as a family & a Jeep for top-off cruising around (until my son gets his license & the Jeep is his).

Pictures just don’t do the M2’s any justice at all. When I first saw one in person at the dealership, it’s road presence was just stunning! Literally kept walking around it in circles taking it in while being speechless! In my opinion the best looking BMW M car ever!!! |

I'm a firm believer in furthering one's education, working hard, & making good decisions (that last one is hard to associate with car purchases ). But yes, we are fortunate to have the things we have, get to do the things we want to do, & have raised educated, compassionate, responsible, & self-sufficient children. The Jeep in that photo is my son's, he purchased it last year a month before his 14th birthday. Technically, he paid for 1/2 & we paid the other half, but we have a payment contract with him & he's had a job at his taekwondo studio since his 14th birthday. The money he earns goes toward paying the balance owed back to us. He'll have it paid off by the time he's 17 & we'll sign it over to him

Same Brooklyn Grey, and so pleased with the Cognac interior that you now can’t get! (I’m an old man!) I was in two minds about the wheels and had to go with the two tone black/chrome… the wheels looks so good I wanted them to stand out and they just look like black holes in your picture. What a machine! One concern I had was the tyre lottery… I thought I’d be getting Michelin or Pirelli but I’ve ended up with Yokohama Advan Sports… can anyone convince me this is a good thing??! Edit to add: Congrats to OP… I’ve had new BMWs for my last 4 cars, this is my forst and probably only M car. Absolutely made up! |

I was looking at the frozen paint as well for that exact reason, but I just couldn’t stretch that far. A brand new M car is quite the stretch for me already hahahaha. But yes, those curves and bulges are so amazing, and why black was never ever an option as I feel a lot of the shape gets lost |

I can relate to how a few months feels like a year!!! Would love to see some pictures of the cognac interior. I have not seen one before. I understand what you mean with the wheels too. I am not a black wheel fan either, at all. But further to what I was discussing with another member above, the look in pictures does no justice to how the car/wheels look in person. So much so that despite not being a black wheel fan, when I saw the car in the dealership in BG with black wheels I was jaw dropped on how stunning it was, and back flipped and ordered exactly that spec. Not taking anything away from the two tone wheels though, I think they look stunning! Two different looks I think, two tone gives the car a touch of class, while the black is more of a race car look. Both look good! Enjoy you car! I can’t wait until mine arrives!!! Oh and Yokohama Advan tyres are phenomenal tyres, so you won’t be disappointed. |

I will hopefully be picking up my 2025 G87 about a month - 6 weeks after my 51st birthday. I have been an M fan since the 1988 E34 M5. This is my first new or used BMW, first M, and second new BMW for the household. Wife had a fantastic new 2020 Purple Silk M340i for a few months before life shoved us into a different lane. I am quite excited.

Love hearing your, and everyone’s journey to their prized M car as it’s something that I can relate to. It’s also nice to hear people finally being able to indulge in their life long passion, despite the life lane changes amd curve balls we have all had to deal with. Very happy for you mate, I know exact how tou feel! Enjoy it because you deserve this and have earned it! P.S what colour and specifications did you go for? |

That sounds great, congrats. I can't wait for pictures of the 25s to start dropping on the forum. I need to live vicariously through all of you that picked fun colors.

Your story reads a little like mine. It's my first M too. I've been patiently waiting for this day for a LONG time. I'm jealous everyone's build date is before mine though, actually don't know anyone with a build date farther out than mine week 4 '25 lol. What's a few more months I guess. Grats!

It has been nice to read and share other people similar journey. Where we have the same passion, have had to make sacrifices, show the same patience, and then to finally achieve a life long dream! Speaking of similar, I too have been reading about other people’s collection day while mine is still months away hahaha. Hopefully it passes quickly for both of us! |
