Which pic are you referring to?The headlights look exactly the same IMO except it appears that one of the test mules has camo over sections of the headlights. In another thread an insider mentioned that the headlights and taillights will never be changed for the G87.

Its one of the best automatic gearboxes out there. Fast and fun to use specially in S3 mode. Not sure why BMW discontinued it.

Agreed. The test car appear to be fitted with the standard headlights without any shadowline option. Hence the silver brow which appears to be reflecting light

M2 is a great car on the track, the M3 seems to be more settled & not as twitchy, that's what the longer wheelbase will do. My opinion only. If I could I would have both

And isn’t all jacked up like standard issue G87’s that sit as if they’ve got xDrive or shipping block still in place

I agree, first thing i noticed was how softly sprung it looks, understeering quite a bit also.
Guessing they are possibly testing drive modes & still tuning the handling as it doesn’t look very planted.

Just look what they did with the OG M2 lifecycle. They learned. It’s irritating. They’re inadvertently training people that you want to buy the last-introduced iteration of a model not the first.

Personal preference: If they’re going to make this auto only and possibly AWD I think I’ll just get an M3C xDrive next but keep the manual M2 as well.
At least that will have a usable backseat (and is much heavier obviously haha) |

Considering a C8 Stingray with a 500 hp V8 is $65k, what you describe above should be about $35k max. And at that price just by a C6 or C5 Z06 if you want a driver's sports car. But why would you buy a 4 or 6 cylinder Corvette? A Corvette is what it is, just like the M2 is what it is. Buy something else that fits the criteria you want instead of bastardizing current performance vehicles.

Is the decision not to make the CS available as a manual mainly a financial one in that the cost of production would outweigh the take rate? Or is there some other reason?
