Or maybe just maybe they enjoy the challenge and would rather pursue their passion instead of binging Netflix all day.

Count me as impressed. I’m lucky I can put air in my tires without messing something up.

Either way, you do you. I’m a glass half full person.
Count me equallly impressed. This is pure engineering at its best.

Hey man, thanks for your comment.

I'm not sure exactly when GTP Motorsports completed their swap, but it's worth mentioning that our conversion was completed quite a while ago now. Content schedules, working with sponsors etc. mean that there is sometimes quite a large gap between when the work is carried out and when the content is released.

That being said, regardless of who got there first we just wanted to highlight this section of our G87 project as no one else had documented the whole process in detail or done a back-to-back comparison.

We absolutely do not want to undermine the achievement of GTP Motorsports - we came across a number of challenges changing over to xDrive and know first-hand how much it takes to pull this off. Especially without a blueprint from others who've done it before. Hats off to them!

None of those were rated for 500 ft lbs. That is why it wasn't done. Rwd is already roasting clutches stock so they didn't want to engineer a new one for awd as it would be harder on the clutch. Cost to profit didn't make sense.

I probably missed it, does it add ~150-200#?

Not convinced it would be faster (or more fun) on a mountain road but will keep an open mind. I typically keep a car 2-3 years so getting this in 2027 or 28 would be ok

Of course it’s going to be faster.

You can get the power down much quicker.

It adds 99lbs. That’s it. AWD is faster, handles better and inspires massive driver confidence.

Fully agreed & it can be toggled back to simply RWD at any time by pushing a button.

It’s actually confirmed by our resident product expert, including the timeline itself

Nobody is taking anything away from r44…
Its like when Visconti posted there time way way back claiming “fastest stock motor”,
But it wasn’t . Gtp did this before r44 did.
It’s just facts. No they did not post it and showed step by step videos for sure…
They simply converted into an xdrive,
Built the motor, added a single turbo all in one go. Then drove it cross country from CA to PA, then PA to FL In two different events. (1/4, and 1/2 mile racing). Oh yea and then drove it back to California …
R44 is a big name , they make great products and are really awesome guys.
We’re all entitled to our opinion here and thank god free speech isn’t taken away on this platform. Job well done for r44 to make it available for the world to see!

It's not that simple, this isn't a fast and the furious stoplight race, I'm talking about on a roadcourse (which you likely have zero experience with)

There are still extremely fast rwd cars putting down great times. AWD cars can understeer more

Older thread but some differing opinions

You don’t know anything about me so quit speaking out of your ass. It obviously has a lot to do with what kind of car it is.

I do have a lot of experience at driving cars. I drive them every day professionally, and I have track experience as well.

All wheel drive makes all the difference in the world. Maybe you should take a bit of time and educate yourself❕
