Wow, nice write-up. Congratulations! I've always wanted to do BMWs European delivery program. But, BMW ended that in 2020. I couldn't afford a new BMW in 2019 and my folks wouldn't be too fond of the whole European Delivery program beforehand. I hope to do PCD once in my lifetime. But the way BMW is going, I highly doubt I'll buy a new BMW.
However, I do have my eyes on a 2019 BMW M2C finished in Sunset Orange. Just not sure if I am willing to part ways with the G30 540

Awesome trip. I just went at the beginning of November and did the dragon and Cherohala.
I hate to give you reason to doubt yourself, but I have to say that you missed out by not doing the Cherohala Skyway! It's a little bit more forgiving on your senses (going based off your comment that you got dizzy) because the curves are longer and more sweeping. You can really open the car up a little bit more in Cherohala. I had a wonderful time doing both but if I had to choose one, it would be Cherohala. Here's the video I took of both: |

No worries. I knew Cherohala was going to be fun, in addition to the slightly dizziness we also faced a bit of time crunch to make it back to my friends house by the end of Friday which was our rough plan all along, so cutting it out was the right thing to do. Hopefully I will be back in that area sometime in the future for a re-do |

Thank you all for the kind words. The spec of the car was purposefully picked to provide some timelessness to the purchase. I tend to keep my cars between 7-10 years or so and while I really liked the purple for instance I was a bit worried about still liking it 6-7 years in or so. So SSG, which is essentially silver in my eyes, fit the bill.
As for the aggressiveness, there is definitely a little more to come. Spacers are on the way and a set of forged wheels are on the list for next year. I'm also going to subtly change the look of the front end with the painted lower valence and a subtle front lip. A rear spoiler might also be in the cards. I've always enjoyed making my cars have the right aggressive stance but still preserve a sort of OEM+ look to it. So that's the rough plan with this car as well. It is not a daily driver and will see some track time as well as car meetups and drives. |

Congrats and great story! You just can’t beat a M2 of any variety and a drive on the Dragon. The silver wheels work perfectly with the gray.
Your friend has a nice garage! That looks like an R 32 next to the OG. You guys have fine taste! |
