I mean, TNM does look better than the purple on the M2, that's pretty objective. Twilight Purple is clearly inferior to Thundernight Metallic.

Don't feed the troll, this idiot posts in every thread in the forum about how his 230i is better than everything. Sure bud.

I'll let you do the math on which one lost more. I'm glad you found a moron to pay you 72% of the purchase price of your old car, but that's not the norm.
You’re using F model values to argue G model values? Have you seen what’s happened with the car market since 2021? Or how many G87 BMW has already produced? Tell me you picked your numbers without telling me you picked your numbers. 😂

Here’s some homework for you - tell me how many F87 M2’s were produced. Then tell me how many G87 M2’s were produced understanding that they’re still being produced and will continue until 2029.

Nah I'm just talking about the color. My Thundernight 230i looks better than people paying a premium for a worse purple on the M2 lollll. Doesn't make much sense. Poor rich people

I used F models because it's what the dude arguing with me is using to prove his point that 240s hold value. Also, the newest G is barely 2 years old so the stats aren't great, but since you asked, here it is $13k delta. Point still stands. Thanks for playing.

And what’s the msrp difference? ‘23 had a 15k delta base price between m240 and M2. Plus your MMR’ing a M240 with 10k more miles. You’re unknowingly proving my point, but think you’re winning. I really hope you don’t work in sales or anything to do with math.

Hate when dummies try to flaunt their wealth. So will you admit the measly TNM 230i (45k) looks better than both your M240i and M2? You're a jooooke.

It's just what the MMR average is, not what I put in as criteria. Real M cars tend to be driven less, and also have lower sales numbers. And no, they aren't $15k apart MSRP vs MSRP with the same options. Go build one. That's another reason I didn't use the G in my initial response. Less transactions. I hope you don't work in anything involving common sense.

And by the way - For the record , I think the M2 is an absolutely brilliant and excellent car.

I just wanted to point out the fallacy and hypocrisy whenever someone uses the 'logic' that anyone who purchases a M240 only does so because they didn't have the ability or means to purchase an M2 instead.

I love the M2, but the m240i xDrive was a better fit and more practical for me personally for a daily driver.

I agree. Vegas gets a scary amount of snow global warming and all. Gotta be prepared.

On a serious note, the OP asked which car he should pick for the SAME PRICE. To suggest that that the M240 is in the same league as the M2, and that it won't depreciate any worse than the M2 is idiotic. But, we all have opinions, even butthurt Maui guy.
