Anyone keeping an eye on the new Z4?

i am struggling to keep my wallet in my back pocket deciding between the new Z4M and the SLK55. it will no doubt be a technologically better car than the outgoing Z4M but i am not sure it will be more fun.

Can you think of any particular car that BMW has replaced that's been more fun than the previous version? I'm having trouble here, with the only possible answer being the E30 over the E21.

However I am looking forward to the new Z car, but will probably ultimately wait for the rumored, smaller Z2 to materialize. This version looks like it's shaping up to be larger than the Z4, which would be a deal breaker for me.
