The 135 does feel slow in the game, but it does handle well.

Forza on the other hand is pretty damn straightforward and I played that a lot and have run all the single player races. So have they improved the menu system in prologue, and does anybody know what the full game will be like? If GT5 is good, I'll buy a PS3, but otherwise I'm going to stick with my XBox and hope the 135i gets added to Forza.
GT5 Prologue is good for what it is but if you don't own a PS3 I would wait until the full version of GT5 is out. There isn't so much depth to the game but you still get all your evo's, sti's, 350z etc etc. I've heard that Forza is just as good if not better from alot of people though so it might be worthwhile waiting. Driving the 135i is good fun though!

I have a xbox360 and ps3 and muliple car games ranging from Need for speed, Forza and GT5 prologue. GT5 has no feeling of speed, no option for modifications, 5 tracks and no crash sequences. It is however a 'pretty good' simulation in terms of a feel for each car available. If all u care about is to drive the 135 then its a must buy as its the only game on the market that attains the 135i. If u are all about the entire package (large car list, tons of tracks, modifications to power/performance/exterior Forza is by far the BEST game on the market by along shot.

But now comes the worst part. You have to buy a lot of pricy cars to finish A. And sadly no, the 135 will not help much.

I got bored and moved back to GT4 (those damn Endurance races) because after redoing a bunch of races I still didn't have enough money.

Plus GT4 has the BMW M3 GTR Race Car

Get the PS3 though - you'll get more game play out of it.

Not just game play either, but you also get a media center.

For example, I have a 500GB hard drive for all my movies/tv shows/songs/etc. I stream those over my wireless network and then I have access to all my media from my PS3, without taking up a single megabyte of HDD space on the PS3.

I'm pretty sure the 360 can do the same thing, but it's not as easy.

Doing that right now as well. With a combo of the app Miro, a PS3, and tvrss.net, I am watching episode 5 of the current Top Gear season from the UK at the moment. Plus I listen to tunes this way, and look @ pics too. Well worth it.

edit: I think xbox360 can do this too, though.

You guys do know that the GT5 we are playing now is a "Prologue" right? Basically a very small taste of what the real GT5 will be. When the full GT5 hits, its going to kill every racing game ever created. Its going to be a epic game. People say it will hit store shelves January 2010. Thats probaly the soonest we will see it, i expect longer honestly.
Even though we are playing a demo, i still think its alot better then Forza 2, in more ways then one.

They charge plenty for that prologue, don't they? Also, if it's going to come out in 2010 then of course it should be better than anything else that's been out for a while now. Forza 2 has been out a year and a half. It will definitely be dated by 2010. Forza succeeds in playability in a lot of areas over GT. Better tire life, no stupid oil wear, you're not locked into the multi-race series. Forza copied GT for the most part and made it more user friendly. I certainly hope they do another version soon.

So which will come first, Duke Nukem Forever or GT5?

I need a game with a Nurburgring simulation, no later than June 2009.

Bought the GT 5 Prologue just so I can try out the 135/M3, and hopefully the full version comes out in time for my Euro Delivery. There are rumours a Spec II downloadable version will have the Ring, I'm keeping my fingers crossed...

Otherwise, I'll buy a used copy of GT4 - have to have my Ring training updated, who knows when I'll be able to go after 2009...

I doubt this is very useful, but from BMW's International site:
http://www.bmw.com/com/en/newvehicle...e/content.html

True, it's the F1 track, not the whole Nordschleife, but maybe it's worth checking out?:iono:

I've tried it, but the M3 is so fast I couldn't play it well with the keyboard arrows... need a steering wheel. I guess this dates me.

They do, but its holds the hardcore GT5 addicts over untill 2010..Well kinda haha. Im bored with it now that i have all the cars. Online is still fun when you get into a room with people that understand we are not playing Need For Speed haha.
Dont get me wrong i love the Forza series, ive played the heck out of both 1 and 2. They are awesome for customization! I just thinking driving seems a whole lot more real in GT5p.

Yea i know its just basicly an extended demo but those who dont know about this game should be aware of its limited value for money and short comings. It should be better than Forza, its expected being that forza has been out a year and a half. we'll have to wait and see. I hope that GT5 does take it to a new level as forza did when it came out. One and a half years later Forza is stil the best car game on the market (read reviews to back up my opinion) As for a january arrival i highly doubt it. Id think closer to mid next year in my opinion which really sucks because i was under the impression the game would be out a whole lot sooner than that. GT series have always been revolutionary and i hope they will keep that expectation. I will wait eagerly and i sure do antipate a great new GT for the next gen console.

Ive tried my friends GT5 Steering wheel and it was 'pretty good' I thought it would be alot better, Not sure how good it is though for racing as i beat my friend easily who has used nothing but the steering wheel and i used a controler..

It all depends on which steering wheel you have, there are only one or two really good ones, and they're not cheap lol.

Craigslist to the rescue...

(The box is big, shipping can kill a good deal).

They are Not cheap indeed. I doubt that you can find them on Craigslist.
