that's interesting b/c i'm looking at a test result in which Car & Driver managed 0.95g on the skidpad in the Supra, and i've seen as high as 0.98g in other articles. 0.88g seems quite a bit low...though i wouldn't doubt if C&D tested the Supra at two different times under completely different conditions, or so it seems.

at any rate, its just like comparing the 335i to the e46 M3. stock for stock, its a drivers race so long as its a drag race. throw some twisties in the mix, and it doesn't even take a great driver behind the wheel of the M3 to pull away. same thing with the Supra...its a 2dr GT car. the 335i is a sport coupe/sedan carrying some extra weight and a higher roll center than both the Supra and the M3. it may be a driver's race in a straight line, but don't let the BMW stigma fool you...if the driver of the Supra has any hair on his balls at all, he'll pull away from a 335i in the turns without much trouble.

i think the highest trap a stock mkIV supra's trapped was 109mph....don't they trap average of 106mph+?

yes 109mph is the highest trap i've seen for the MKIV Supra as well. and yes, the average trap is closer to 106-107mph.

You all are overlooking one serious fact. The car is over 10 years old. I don't care if it's a 911 turbo; after 10 years it will be slower than when it first rolled off the assembly line. Things get broken in, pistons get scored, gaskets get slooppy, all leads to less HP. I say the 335 whoops him.
