Do you regret selling any of them? I had a: 1976 Honda Civic 1992 Subaru Liberty RS Turbo (I wish I didn't sell this car) 1994 Suzuki Sierra 2002 Subaru Liberty RS Turbo (this car was awful) 2006 4.8is X5 (I miss this car. I wrote it off) My current car. I'd like to own a Lotus Elise before I die. I also don't expect I'll ever sell my 135i because even though I'm getting sick of some aspects of it; and long for a "real //M", I know I'd regret selling it. |

The car before my first BMW was a well-used 1960 Ford Econoline van, mattress on the floor. I got hooked on BMW in 1971 with a 1969 2002, Alpine White. Then a long BMW hiatus before a Hellrot e36 M3 in 2003. M3s ever since.

BMWs were my dream cars growing up, but I had drive a few cars before getting myself one:
1998 Volkswagen Golf 2004 Mercedes-Benz M-Class 1998 Jeep Cherokee The first BMW that I ever driven was a 2007 3 Series, but my first actual BMW that I bought was a 2016 428i GC and I love the car. Trading it in and getting a 2019 440i in a couple of weeks. Waiting for the production to be done |

I was big into Audi in the late 90's when the A4 B5 platform had just come out. I went ahead and purchased my first 325i on 2003

The 1995 Prelude Vtec, 2000 RC51 and 2000 S2000 might be the only I regret getting rid off.

All over the map, except for GM cars...not sure why as my family growing up were all about GM cars and trucks.

I had a Porsche 911 before Converting to BMW...
WHAT!?! Yes... it was an old one (probably should have kept it now that their values are through the roof), but the 911 had a leaking rear main seal and some other minor issues that would have totaled nearly $5k in repairs.... at the time I was 21 with an expensive car that I couldn’t afford to maintain properly and lacked mechanical knowledge to fix it myself, so I took it to a local dealer and traded it it for a 2 year old 5-series... it was a black 528e with a 5 speed and it just felt right. Since then, I’ve owned several other 5’s (e34 540/6 supercharged was my favorite), a pair of 6’s (1 was an Alpina) and two M3 (one was an e30), 3 - X5’s and a highly modified 700hp X5M! I now own a 2017 M4 rocket and my wife drives a 2018 X3 M40i... she loves it as a daily and says it’s the most fun car that she has ever owned! Waiting to see how the 2020 X3M compares... I will own another Porsche one day, but it will be a bigger leap this time. I’ll really have to save up for it: GT3 RS. Last edited by gixxerboy63; 01-23-2019 at 08:58 AM.. |

Ah the 'list' thread. My list is weird.
1990 Mercury Cougar (Hand me down from my older sister) 1998 Nissan 200SX (Black, lowered on white wheels, underglow. Fast and Furious!) 1990 Ford Festiva (everyone needs a good crap car to crash into things) 1997 Nissan 200SX (Parts car) 1990 Galant GSX (The greatest winter beater ever) 1993 BMW 325i (Kind of an M3 clone) 1998 Lexus ES300 2011 Honda Fit 2011 Subaru Forester 1997 Ford Ranger 2019 Honda Ridgeline (smushed the ranger and fit together to make room for the 135i) 2012 BMW 135i I don't know if I'm hooked or not, but for the price range (20kish) I didn't think I'd find a better sports car that was nice enough to drive around and still be fun/tunable/quick. Not sure what the next car will be.

Only thing worth mentioning was this. 2014 Mustang GT TP which became my track car. Sold it 3 months ago before moving to Germany for an expat assignment. I still miss it.
