Traded all my Nvidea for Marvel minutes before the Marvel report the other day.
Marvel was on a streak, and Nvidea lost the ARM acquisition that day.

added to my amazon position a few days ago since i couldn't decide how to spread that money between multiple other stocks. just a gut feeling they will do well over the holidays.

strong pump today across the market. nearly fell out of my chair when i randomly checked my stocks this afternoon and saw i was up 3% overall today.

GS ( John Blackridge) top internet pick
Cowen ( Eric Sheridan) top mega cap pick

Both analysts have decent track records. I should add.

This week the administration announced it will purchase 500 million test kits that will be distributed free through a website. Some states and cities have already been offering free test kits. In September and October, the White House also announced $3 billion in investments to purchase test kits, secured agreements from manufacturers to speed production, and promised to streamline regulatory approvals needed to bring new tests to market.

just thinking out loud here

holding a LEAPS on MU at $60 strike, June 2022 exp
been selling CC's against it
but I made the mistake of selling too low of a strike when MU was down
now the short call is deep in the money ($82.5 strike, current share price around $95)
i was going to ride it out until mid January and then try to roll it out but I just got notice that MU is going ex-dividend tomorrow
so I'm most likely going to be assigned early

buying back the short call would cost about $1245 (a $645 loss)
but I don't have enough cash in the account to do this
so i'd have to either sell off other assets
or
just close my entire position
i do come out ahead overall ... but I am bullish on MU and didn't want to sell the $60 call
the plan was to sell some more CC's and then exercise the $60 call

i guess I could close the position and buy back a $65 or $70 instead

It's so stupid. Omicron will be done with the US by the time these kits are accessible. Plus, home test kits are woefully inaccurate, especially Omicron. It's all theater.

Hopefully omnicron will peak soon. Yes, politics of attempting to looking good. Wonder how hard, say Pfizer and or Moderna is working on the omnicron antiviral, maybe mute.
