Got a Circle K over by us, air pump charges $1.00 for air. Not sure how long it runs for that, but certainly not long enough to do all four. Worst part it takes quarters or a debit/credit card. WTF who doesn't have four quarters or a single dollar that you could make change?

I was the attendant. It was my after school job. I did it all... pumped gas, cleaned windshields, checked and filled oil and coolant, checked and filled tires and when I wasn't at the pumps I'd be working on vehicles in the garage. I did oil changes and other simple jobs like changing batteries and starters, installed and balanced tires and any other job that was on the list left by the boss. Try finding a kid to do that today.

^ I was a gas station attendant as well when I was a teenager. Did the typical things that attendants do. Was a fun job. Think it was an Enco gas station, now part of ExxonMobil.

Dime here. Not the Lawn Elder by any means.

But speaking of dimes and pay phones...there's a scene in the movie WarGames where Matthew Broderick's character gets a pay phone to give him a dial tone by shorting the phone against the coin box with a pull tab from a soda can. There are several generations of folks who have never seen either a pay phone or a pull tab. They must be like, "WTF did he just do?"
