I think it can be common for high volume dealers (esp. big metro areas) to get 2 or even 3 allocations before the smaller dealers get their 1st. That has been my experience anyway. It really tests your patience.

From my understanding of how the process works, this doesn’t sound right to me. If anyone can clarify that would be much appreciated.

Orders are date/time stamped within the order bank. I can foresee a change moving you within the order bank as the date/time stamp changes, but not your place in line with the dealer should not. When they receive an allocation and it is your turn in line then all they have to do is quickly modify the allocation to your specs.

Ain’t no way. My HEA didn’t have the Shadowline or Lighting package. If I pay 68k for a car, imma get what I ordered. Plus I’ll wait two more months if I have to… sadly.

The delta might be less - HEA cars will be held back until April 8 (US M2 launch date), according to my salesperson.

Not sure if some dealers will break that embargo, though …

Checked with my dealer today and based on the allocations they've gotten so far he thought (no guarantees of course) that I would get a production number sometime in summer.

This is pretty much what I was expecting/hoping for so hopefully it holds up!

How far on the list are you and what rank is you dealer? In Canada dealers are ranked A, B, C with A getting more allocations and C the least.

Can anyone tell how many allocations were given out in total so far, not including HEA cars? (if not easy to filter, total allocations to date would be fine also ;-))

I was hoping they would crank these out at scale but it seems like not a ton of cars have been allocated for this first round.

Great info! Any idea on the build date for the "last" ones of these 159 to give an idea on volume/time units for the US market?

This will give us an idea of how long we could sort of wait depending on our position in the queue.
