As Mr. Surf said, it's a awl, not a screwdriver. So, therefore, the photo is representing the second line of the poem, when awl (all) through the house. My sick mind got this one immediately and I'm sure glad my coffee cup was on the table at time or it would have been a disaster.

An awl is used to make holes in leather. It has other uses too, but that what I used it for as a kid. Please don't feel bad, it's not a very common tool these days.

I know what you mean. I spent years with clients in Charlotte, NC. After spending so much time with those fine folks, I started getting a slight accent and some really crazy words started coming out of my mouth. It was a great experience.
