I assume this is going to add a buttload of time to my wait having to cross the frickin atlantic ocean now.

ALL G87s are built at San Luis Potosí in Mexico.

But to be honest, the transatlantic crossing to the east coast is more efficient, because cars flow in both directions X to Europe and cars to the US.

Just remember, these so called Genius are simply phone reps reading from a script. You have to ask a few and average the answers.

The only way to tell where your car is being manufactured is by looking at the VIN.
If it stars with a 3, it is being built in Mexico

Oh wow now Toronto is on the Brunswick 15 day out look too! In addition to Glovis Sunrise.
https://gaports.com/facilities/port-...ook-brunswick/

It seems to me both ships will probably dock in Veracruz this week. Fingers crossed 🤞
Here's the schedule I see now for Toronto on the Wallenius Wilhelmsen site. Arrival in the left column, departure in the right.

This is like the Xfinity tech support agent who will ask if you have “powered down the modem to rectify the internet issue”…

I hope you get movement soon and a timely delivery

Did you take delivery?

At this point the Cardinal dropped my car off in NY, then went back to Mexico, loaded another batch of cars, got them to Brunswick, those cars made it to the dealer, and have now been delivered.

Odds are my car does not show up at the dealer until the next load of cars from the Cardinal drops off cars at NY.

At what temperature do I need to worry about tire damage?

I am amazed that BMW does not have any idea when the next ship will show up, when the next delivery will be made...the logistics system need a complete overhaul. Are you telling me they only know when a ship pulls in? They should at least have a forecast and a rough idea of how much capacity is availably to ship.
Their online commerce business is a mess and it need to improve especially since they are really pushing people to do more custom orders online.

Is your car release to your dealer? What is your CA telling you?

At this rate you might get you car before us east coasters...the Toronto should be docking in Veracruz and coming to TX on the 6th. Then again, the sunrise was suppose to have picked up vehicles days ago and its out doing circles in the gulf of mexico

I find this hard to believe as well. I remember the promotional video that they released when the San Luis Potosí plant opened and one of the scenes was the NASA style giant command room with the logistics terminals and giant informatics display with shipping routes shown.

It all depends.

Some people have waited less than a week to catch a ship. Others here are into 5 weeks and still waiting.

Your car may get sent to Veracruz. Or it may get sent to Altamira. This may impact your ability to catch a ship. Sometimes a ship stops at both.

The interesting thing now is at what point are there too many of us waiting so that a ship can't take everyone.

Initially I thought Toronto would be a last resort ship since it was coming at the end of October. At the time I had watched Morning Chorus run that same route and then a few days after leaving GA I checked the BOL and it did not have any BMWs on it just a bunch of other manufacturers cars. So chances are it'll do the same thing again and not take any BMWs. When I saw the records, I stopped checking the WW site and just ran with Glovis ships being what BMW is using for east coast deliveries. There may be others but I sure haven't found them yet.

Other than the GLOVIS Sunrise, which was already mentioned, other vessels to keep an eye on are the GLOVIS Superior, GLOVIS Companion, GLOVIS Condor, and GLOVIS Solomon.

These are the most recent GLOVIS ships that have shown up on Sallaum Lines schedule in the past month, and ships that show up on those schedules appear to be capable of transporting BMWs to the East Coast.

Any bit of positivity overnight regarding the sunrise? I’m not able to track any vessel once the enter Veracruz marine waters. I can see everything going on at the other Mexican port so I don’t knot what’s happening on that side.

No positivity yet for the sunrise, actually worked its way out to sea a little bit more. Cardinal is still in the other balitmore port as well.

Thanks for the update. Hopefully we catch a break by weekend. While I have work during the week to keep my mind off things, I have nothing to do on the weekends besides checking
