It's like the pulp fiction scene where they are talking about your food showing up when you're in the restroom! Congrats !

Just re read this. Port install specs won't allow for more than 10mm drop. You're saying you got them to go 20mm? While that is adjustable later that is very surprising they would allow that delivered.

Is this the M performance suspension? I also optioned for this to be installed port side. Any chance you could take some side shots of the car so I can see the drop? Much appreciated!

Thank you! Man that looks perfect. I’m so glad I went with the port installed option. It honestly just works out better for me time wise. Yes sure I could get a set of KW cheaper and then install it myself but I just don’t have that kinda time and a shop would have charged me the price delta anyways. I think due to this my first mod will be some wheels.

No problem. Plus the huge advantage of it being considered oem and BMW warrantied!

Yes, it's MP suspension. My M2 is at PPF shop right now. I dropped it off after taking delivery. I'll take photos of the side profile when I got the car back next week.

Good drop for real world driving. I got Kinematics sheet and I saw target data with -20mm value, but looked at the numbers again, it's the difference between the front and the rear. The drop is 10mm.

Has anyone successfully paid cash for the car? When I finished putting my order in the bank, my dealer said we'd talk about financing as he was walking away. I said I was going to pay cash, and he literally stopped in his tracks. He said "Well, we'll talk about it when the car comes."

I've been waiting ages for this thing, and it is final assembly right now, but I'm nervous. I don't trust dealers at all.

Can a dealership force you to use financing , and not pay completely in cash ?

I can't recall ever seeing an agreement that says you agree to not pay for the car in full when taking delivery ......

I know dealerships can require you to use their financing , if you are financing

No, he's probably just saying that so in hopes you reconsider once the car arrives and all that since dealers make hella off of financing. Just stand your ground and say I'm paying fully in cash, otherwise this deal is not happening. Either that or agree to finance, then just pay off the whole amount when you get the car.

Never heard of that before.

You are a legend if you pay cash in full- dealerships will hate that you did it and could possibly make some excuse up as to why they can not take it. They make a lot more off of your interest rate with a loan.

Called BMW genius line again and was told the car (that reached port at Oxnard on 10/28) has an open work order that hasn't been updated since 10/31, and they do not know why the car is still sitting there. CA doesn't seem to be able to provide any more info on this either only saying he'll text me when the car arrives. What now...just keep waiting?

And you came on Aquarius Leader? If so I was with you. That’s super odd. Maybe damage in transit as much as I hate to say it?

Yep it was on Aquarius Leader.

BMW genius said there was no damage reported on the car but they also don't know why the car is still not released by port, after 17 days?

I hope it's just some port installed parts being out of stock and they're waiting for them to arrive rather than other peculiar reasons...

Well if they report no damage then you don’t have to worry- I hear they are good about knowing that info.

As for the port installs- which parts do you have? There could be a back order for sure. Has there been a stop sale by chance on anything for your car?

I was not informed of any stop sales or any abnormality for the car, on the phone they basically went "your car looks absolutely normal I don't know why it's still at the port".

I have the CF air inlets/mirror caps/rear diffuser and Alcantara Armrest added. Not the most common options to add I know, so maybe the port didn't prepare in advance. Who knows
