Looks great. Need to kill those front reflectors next to body match.

Thanks. I have the full front. I cannot wait finishing the 1200 miles break-in period. This M2 exceeds my expectation.

Yeah probably waiting on some port install options to deliver. Hopefully you get your car soon! At least it’s out of the sun and covered from elements.

Car just arrived to Cali port. Not sure which ship, not sure which port.

Dealer said car should be at dealership the middle / end of the week. (next week)

Awesome just in time for Thanksgiving. Hopefully you have a few days off from work to get some miles in.

I'm on pto this upcoming week. Putting a few more miles on her on Monday. Break in service Tuesday. AA EL mid install Wednesday then give her a good hand wash that night for the holiday.

Putting miles on is harder than it seems! I’m only 350 in. Let us know how that AA mid pipe is! That’s the one I’m going after.

Idk how you’re struggling with this because I’ll easily be 350 miles in by the end of my first weekend with the car haha

x2 on the AA midpipe

I was hesitant to put her on the road without my PPF so I was just doing random road driving here and there. Thankfully she’s in PPF now so I can throw her on the freeways more.

Insane how much I have to try to put mileage on upfront. After that mileage will stay low lol. Never had to intentionally add mileage before. I'm only in the office twice a week and it's not a far commute. So the rest of the time it's just gym and fun driving.

But was set on getting my break in service mileage in and appt scheduled during week of pto and before the mid install since was wanting to dyno b4 and after install (for sound delta not really whp delta since should be negligible) and not wanting to go WOT for extended periods while still in break in period.

Just curious, what made you go mid instead of axel first? Sound? I’m stuck between the AA EL for how great it sounds vs the Eisenmann sound + how good it looks.

I love M cars- but I’ll never understand the big metal pillow design under the rear

AB alone won't help sound as much with oem mid in place due to secondary cats etc. Plus shaving the weight. I like the oem valve control vs after market too so attempting to be happy with the mid only first. If not enough then the AA high flow DP is next. If still not enough then will deal with AB. The problem is this thing sounds like an EV in oem form. Now granted I don't expect it to sound like my last v8 with long tube headers and full exhaust, but there has to be a happy medium somewhere lol.

Yeah gotcha. I hope to hear some positive reviews on your AA mid.

With a DP, will you be running a tune?

No tune anytime soon. AA high flow DP also requires no spacer and shouldn't have a CEL. They have a no CEL guarantee and will replace the DP if it pops a CEL which is piece of mind and standing behind their product.

That’s interesting, I always thought touching the dp= tune. Hey I learn something new every day.

Depends really. If you go catless you need to tune out the CEL or "trick it" with the spacer route. A high flow catted DP though still gets you sound and some power without the extra hassle.

Yeah I’d rather not go catless. I care about sound to the extent of it not being annoying. More into deep grumbles and unique pitches without having that deafening effect if that makes sense.

Wouldn’t any added power need a tune for the ECU to properly function?

The tune could add power by increasing psi, timing etc. If you are adding power physically by increased flow/ less flow resistance, for example, then no tune would be needed unless there was a major change. The ecu can adjust to changes within certain parameters.

Put 200 miles on the car today in prep for the break in service scheduled tomorrow. Turns out dealership doesn't have the diff fluid for the service despite it being scheduled a few weeks in advance. Also, even with that 200 miles today couldn't hit the min 1150 (wasn't aware there was a min just so that it was closish) so service is scheduled for next Tues. Still doing mid on Wed but likely without he dyno pulls because this.

Now to get her above the 1150 but under the max 1250 for that service. Again, thought 1200 was approx not some magical figure lol.
