I just got out of break in and they are definitely a lot more fun cars than my Taycan was. I still am getting used to all of the drive modes and stuff, and once the weather warms up a bit I'll be taking it into the NC/TN mountains with my Porsche buddies to see what it can do. I do already have an itch for a tune - thinking JB4 and an extra ~80whp for just under 500whp that would make this car perfect.

These cars are already pushing 700whp reliably so I'm not too concerned.

I'm not a big window tint guy. Maybe it's from living in Philly years ago and having my car broken into. If they can see there's nothing inside, they won't bother with it!

Also, how else am I supposed to show off the seats and red seatbelts?

JB4s may not be visible, but the data logged is quite visible. If they wanted they could easily deny a warranty claim. Pushing 700 whp reliably... well, I heard the same thing back in the day about N54. Maybe it's true, but I wouldn't bet on it long term. As it turns out, the N54 wasn't even reliable at stock power, lol.

Yep. Its not 2003 anymore.

This is easily detectable by any dealer that hooks up a computer. Whether they say anything is a different matter, but pushing the engine beyond designed parameters is an easy warranty denial decision.

Good points, maybe I'll just stick with non-tuning solutions.

But can the ct4 bw handle well on the track? 🤔

My money is on no its not good in corners. And for me, that's all that matters. I literally switches an m2 comp to a z4 because it objectively corners better and stays planted in ways the m2 comp could only dream of. And I tuned it to make 450wheel and 500trq and it keeps up very close with m3s but whenever there are corners I win

This car is phenomenal. Warm weather cannot come soon enough for some mountain runs. I just hope I don't have any Z4's on my ass trying to pass me...

Well considering I had both, and the supra and z4 perform the same, and the supra beats the m2 comp on most tracks with 330hp, and my lap times are better in the z4 and turn ins are faster than the m2 comp, no I'm not high. The proportions are better on the z4, not to mention the z4 has higher lateral acceleration than the m2/3/4/5/6/8.

I know m owners just can't accept that a non m model is better, but this is why I went with the z4 when the m3/4 were only like $10-15k more. It's just better in corners. You people have NEVER compared your m cars to a z4 on the track at MAX PERFORMANCE.

You can put the best suspension in the m3/4 but your just polishing an overbloated boat/turd. The z4 has the perfect blend of beauty, proportion, lines, and performance. Now if bmw M could make a z4m, it'd be the best m car ever made hands down. You just can't beat it's weight reduction and proportions with a boat like the m4

BTW Idk much about the ct4 bw. I know the ct5 bw is loved by car enthusiasts and is pretty good on track, but again, big cars won't perform better then smaller ones. As small as my m2 comp was, it just can't take corners like my z4 does I'm sorry m2 comp owners but I had one and I axtually PUSHED it in corners at the MAX possible speed it's capable of, and the z4 just glides through if I take the same corners at the same speed with it. It can violently turn in without losing control and remain planted and do higher lateral g than the m2 comp and again the m3/4/5/6/8 all day and I've driven them all to know this.

The nurburgring is long and has many straights where the m3/4 can damage the supra/z4 very badly in lap times. But take a track with challenging corners that is short, and the non m z4 is neck and neck with the m4 and definitely beats the m2 comp.

This is the ole "my car is the ultimate car ever". I remember when I was a kid and I couldn't afford the expensive transformers, so I just pretended that my toys were the best.

Love it.

I've mentioned before but I went from a C7Z06 to an Audi R8 and lol @ people who think American cars can't perform in corners.

Go to your local track and watch Camaros/Corvettes torch your favorite cars with amateur drivers.

I'm very happy with my R8 but it's not even a question which car was faster on a circuit and it was the Z06.

Relax buddy your way off on your analysis.

I have never been interested in the m3/4 ever since the f80. That's why I had the f87 .
