My bday is in 16 days and I admit I've been fantasizing about picking my car up on my bday.

Mine's been at the Vehicle Processing Center since 12/16. I called BMW Genius today and they said they have no info and that I should call my CA since at this point they should know more.
Last week the Genius said there was an open work order. Today the Genius told me there doesn't appear to be one. When I asked him if there was previous status of a work order being open he didn't answer clearly. Now I'm confused. I'm hoping this is just natural holiday time delay, but I'm a little concerned the car may have been damaged. Last edited by MineralGreyMetallic; 01-09-2024 at 06:16 PM.. |

CA told me "I guess there was a parts delay. The car is done and being released to transport tomorrow."
I found some guy on the i4 forum experiencing a similar delay at the same VPC. I wonder if the part was HAS or something else? Either way he's saying the car could be there Thursday or Friday. |

Yeah I tried but then the Genius gave me a date and every day that isn't come after that is torture. Can only believe its the HAS slowing it up since it has been at port since the 27th and they said a work order was opened that day but they can't tell me what the work order was for. Looks like the Glovis Sun is set to get to the port of baltimore in about 2 hours according to my free-version view on Vesselfinder.com. This is great news considering the initial ETA from the BMW genius was 1/12. Now it's all about the HAS and how long that takes.
I head to Mexico tomorrow until Tuesday night. Going to try my darndest to not look for updates when I'm on vacation. Hopefully when I come back there will be a clear picture of when the car will be at the dealer.

FWIW, our car (M340i) unloaded in Brunswick in the early hours of the 8th. It arrived at our dealership about an hour ago, so it took about 2.5 days from unloading to arriving here in Greenville SC...far faster than I imagined. We're taking delivery tomorrow morning.

Glovis Sun is heading to NYC per MarineTraffic. Has an ETA of 1/11 - 1/12, if true, that's a lot earlier than Genius's 1/15. Carbon pack come hither!!!! |

I just have the dive planes being added. I don’t think I have seen a significant delay here from other forum members for that… hopefully

My car has been at the Port of Baltimore since 12/20, waiting on HAS. BMW Genius said my car was on a truck as of 1/9, but both my CA and My Garage say it’s still At Port. I don’t know what to believe at this point, but I’ve been at port for 3 weeks at this point…
