I don’t understand why people say this. I have the buckets and a manual and have zero issues/discomfort.

I have tree trunk legs so that might be why I disliked them so much lol

Again, this is hearsay and I can’t say that’s true, but I’ve heard it from multiple people.
The hearsay is false.

I've had 9 manual BMWs, and my G87 is probably the best (my e36 M3 with a Rogue SSK is pretty close). The G87 easily handles the S58's massive torque above 4k, and is smooth and quick. The clutch throw is a bit long, but that was easily solved with a $10 Burger clutch stop that took 5 minutes to install.

And if I want to make it even better, an Auto Solutions or Rogue short shift kit is easy to add.

I appreciate your feedback.

To be clear I wasn’t saying that the G87 manual was “bad” but that it leaned towards comfort.

So it seems you obviously like BMW manuals, but what is the best manual you’ve ever driven? I’m just curious what you’re comparing them against.

I had a dct f87 and now a manual g87
I'm not winning any stoplight races with the manual (this is my first manual) but even with the personally janky starts and 1-2 I'm very glad I went manual just for fun. This is my only car along with 2 motorcycles but I also don't frequently sit in traffic on my commute.

I have the buckets and I work out so my legs arent small but I don't have any issues with the hump. I just worry I'm going to rub a hole in the bolstering getting in and out at some point lol
