I swear I've received this email EVERY year for the past 3 or 4 years. And the same people continue to forward them. Common sense: Some have it, some don't. |

Yeah I totally thought the boycott was a foolish plot. But I guess if they were just trying to send a message to the gas companies and trying to crash their daily routine it will make more sense. But they don't know they are just fucking themselves up in the long run... sigh hippies with internet.

You guys in the US don't know how good you've got it with petrol prices!!
You should check out the prices here in Australia, AUD$1.50 (US$1.20) a litre!! Which is still cheap compared to HK and the UK.

Why do we have it "so good with petrol prices"? I remember in 1999, it used to be <$1/gallon (in Florida though, and that is for a 91-93 octane...) |

$4.30 is not a reality in CA unless it's the only gas station in MILES
I live in the bay area and haven't seen gas over $4.00 yet 3.80 for premium yes, but $4.oo, not yet. |

lie? I don't understand why people are so aggressive over the internet and talk down to others. Since you came in this thread you've done nothing but talk down. There are other ways to say things. You sound like a total noob.

I was there 2-3 weeks ago and saw $3.74 for prem at most stations
there's always one station in most areas that's the "expensive station" because it's right off the freeway, or it's the only one in the area maybe that was the "expensive station" I recall a gas station on highway 1 in the big sur area that was $3.50 for premium and that was 5 years ago. (only station for MILES, literaly 15-30 miles each way at least with no gas) |

Not getting gas on the 15th will not hurt the oil companies’ pockets, because they will be selling the same quantity of gas. What it will do is make a point that people can unite and it proves that everyone is fed up with the high prices. Moreover, maybe that message would make them think even a little. I think it's worth a try.

You can always hedge gasoline prices...I use to trade full time. Buy gasoline (or oil) options and make money while the prices are going up. You can also hedge with ticker OIH or USO or just join them and get some XOM. It will more than make up the inflated pump costs.
I can talk Supply and Demand theory all day, but the money the oil companies are making is ridiculous boarding on law suit ready. I follow oil almost daily and prices are actually heading a little lower, if that is any consolation. In fact USO (US Oil) is near its 3 month low, I just checked. The funny thing is that OIH which is the Oil Services sector, is near its 3 month high. Those Bastards!! |
