It's just a larger z4....but with a hideous rear end. Although I have to admit the rest of the car and the paint is absolutely stunning. Back is very CRX-IE's and Z's all over the grill was a bit much. Had they left it like the typical BMW mesh grill it woulda been great.
And it seems no one was listening lol...it's a one off for the special coach show. Great marketing behind it, btw |

+1. They need to sort out the rear if before it's signed off for production. I will buy one if it's an M.

I think it helps that I really like the current z4 and have been waiting for a z4M coupe to come along...this could fill the bill. |

I'd take one, I think it looks 90% amazing, not too sure on the rear end...
Did I miss something, whats under the hood? I didn't watch the video...maybe it's in there? |

No one in their right mind has ever called the new Z4 unpopular because of its looks. In fact by all accounts and all reviews it is a great looking roadster. It is the driving experience that is numb thus leaving it unpopular.
Overall, this project looks cool. But I agree they could have made it a bit more exotic. Quote:

But the weird thing I noticed, is that there doesn't seem to be a way to open the rear hatch (it looks like it's one piece of sheet metal with the quarter panels.) |

Side vent looks like the shit you'd by from autozone and slap it on. Rear looks like a they cut the back half of a CR-Z and the front is not looking it's part. Zagato should just stick with Aston because they butchered this. What a waste..

At the end, it's all personal preference. The E89 Z4 has been softened up to be more comfortable, if this drive better and made for a driving enthusiast that cna go faster, then I can't be mad about that unless of course they make the price unreasonable.
