The Cayman/Boxster is so good they can continue to use the design they had in place since 2013, make a few minor exterior design tweaks, update the infotainment to current Porsche language and probably not do anything to the drivetrains. They could maybe “up” the 4.0l hp for the GTS to the GT4 level and maybe provide a little more boost to the 2.0 and 2.5 and be done. The 2.0 can easily do 350hp and I’m sure they could give the 2.5 375-385hp while keeping the 4.0 around 420.

I mean, I don't really care how much power they put in an EV. I'd like the same amounts of power to be available in ICE cars too, lol. I'm all about equality, give everyone the opportunity to use as much power as they want. An LT7 powered Tahoe for instance would be awesome.

This is not new and it is a continuous problem. Thieves are now targeting electric vehicles – but not the car itself

Of course if it was just about a BEV we could no doubt find a satisfactory option at less cost, but she is used to her Porsche luxury and performance.

So how much does the Green Grift cost?
Yellen says $3 trillion is needed each year to fund climate transition Yellen said multilateral financial institutions like the World Bank are setting new climate financing targets. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said Saturday the world's transition to a low-carbon economy requires $3 trillion in new investment annually through 2050, and that filling the financing gap to reach that level of funding represents the biggest economic opportunity of the 21st century. (for the math challenged that's 78 Trillion without correction for inflation so most likely 100 trillion) https://www.foxbusiness.com/politics...ate-transition “they are flaunting their special status. Hypocrisy is the ultimate power move. It is a way of demonstrating that one plays by a different set of rules from the ones adhered to by common people.” ― Michael Shellenberger, Apocalypse Never |

EVs should be inherently cheaper... its no longer a new technology, we are 12 years in now w the model s... and the cars are super simple and just get simpler and simpler to produce, there is also more competition... a Model 3 should be at best a 35k car lol

Hello everyone,
This is obviously a very popular topic however, can I please ask you to respect the forum rules. That means no politics discussion irrespective if you think EVs and politics go hand in hand. The forum has a strict no religion and no politics rule in place which applies to every aspect of the forum, including this thread. Continued discussions on politics will ultimately lead to the closure and / or removal of the thread. Of course I hope it never comes to it but those who continue to ignore the rules may find themselves banned or with restricted access to the forums. Additionally, you may wish to refresh yourselves on the below post: https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1753661 Thanks, Mani

Just read up on a Tesla Plaid S 'track package' that will hit 200mph though this will discharge the battery in about 18 minutes so a quick thrill on the autobahn before looking for the charge station, if you make it

It would be very unusual for anyone to go 200 mph for 18 minutes on even the Autobahn.

With Most Modern Cars Locked Down, Hackers Turn to EV Chargers https://www.pcmag.com/news/with-most...to-ev-chargers
Not surprising to me at all. Welcome all the EV owners to the cyber world. Warning: You better not be my neighbor if you have an EV. I can hack into your home charging station and make you pay 100 times as much |
