You probably knew the lead singer Donnie Van Zant is the brother of Lynyrd Skynyrd singer Ronnie Van Zant. Also, the lyrics "just hold on loosely, but don't let go, if you cling to tightly, you're gonna lose control" clearly means don't smother your girlfriend/wife in a relationship, but it always sounded a little sexual to me, in a masturbatory way. Maybe I just have a dirty mind. lol |
