Looks like the tug boats are getting ready to pull the Sunrise out! Should be on its way to the next destination within the hour. Here’s hoping some of us get updates today or tomorrow!

Did some basic math here:
Veracruz -> Altamira (anch): ~15 hours of travel time
Altamira -> Brunswick: ~ 49 hours of travel time
Brunswick -> Baltimore: ~ 48 hours of travel time
Baltimore -> NY/NJ: ~ 24 hours of travel time

These observations are honestly based off single examples of vehicle carriers, but the rough ranges are probably fairly accurate.

Hopefully it’s able to get in and out at Altamira. Does not appear to be a lot of congestion for car carriers at that port. At this point, the sunrise should be making its first drops on the east coast early next week.
That was a really big load at Veracruz

My RFT 10/9. Received this message this morning from the BMW Genius:

"Our records indicate your BMW is currently in transit from the factory to the port of departure. Since your BMW was built in Mexico, the transit time to arrive at the port can take some time."

One month to get from factory to the port?

Generic message. Honestly not worth the cost it took to send that email. Waiting game like the rest of us and nobody really knows.

Updated ETA to Altamira for Sunrise is 13.5 Hours (11/7 3:30 UTC). It seems to have updated after it was fully out of port and now on its way. Good news. I also emailed my CA to see if he could confirm I made it onto the the Sunrise but no response as of yet (I don't know whats taking so long, its 9:30 on a monday morning!)

Marine Traffic App says Sunrise will arrive in Altamira tonight at 21:30.

Now that Sunrise took off, I’m planning to call Genius a bit later today. I’m gonna brace myself for the same answer as usual so I don’t get too hopeful.

280 nautical miles between the two. If it burns a little fuel it can be to Altamira in less than 12 hours!

I'd wait til its half way to Brunswick otherwise it may be a waste of time.

I just saw the Glovis Condor leave Altamira port and go into Altamira anchor. Pretty weird.

Minor Update: I emailed my CA and he said the sales manager is out for a few days and they were the ones getting me my updates. I won't have any real updates until later this week (from my CA).
