Hey, he gets no free pass here. This is the price he has to pay for being one of the first to get the car.

Can you really trust two different measuring devices from different manufacturers... No, only option is to go back to the shop.

I feel for the guy. Imagine all the pressure of pleasing us, the hardcore enthusiasts; tall order. I wouldn't want to do that on the day I pick up my sweet ride. He's already provided info we didn't even get from all the reviews. Dude gets a pass from me.

I could if it was only a small amount of weight that was in the trunk. It's not thousands of pounds he'd have to weigh so even if his scale is not 100% accurate it's close enough. I think we need to cut him some slack. If he can and wants to go back to the shop that's cool, otherwise I'll take what we can get.

Ok, half pass. Keep in mind, he has been the biggest proponent of ZB which knocks the score down a little.

Precisely. Such a jam packed weekend it's not doing me any favors. Both professional and personal. Need a vacation in a couple weeks.

We’re all living vicariously through you at the moment so our level of happiness with this car rests squarely on your shoulders.

No pressure bro!

Between the trunk and personal belongings I had 9lbs of crap in the car. I'm including the jack set in the trunk space as I will leave it be.

3735 total

I don't want to hear any more ifs ands or buts

Just FYI - every person who talked to me today (at least a dozen) remarked how much better this color appears in person in a cloudy day like today is. I also had multiple people honking at me with a thumbs up and multiple cops decided to swerve to my lane to figure out what the hell they were looking at

Seriously though, in person literally everyone said it was better. Maybe not great for those that don't like it, but not nearly as bad as they thought.

Sums it up perfectly. Had it rated 5-6/10 based on pics. Quickly went up to 8/10 in person. It has quite the presence. Loving this early response from the public too.

Zero gets a pass all day, putting in the work we all wish the actual reviewers would put in. If he misses a step it is cuz we put too much on his plate.

First of all, the stock wheels are RIDICULOUSLY heavy. Holy buckets.

Second, let's see your new wheels!

Guys I'm posting out back to admit a mistake with the weight of rear wheels - I mistook my notes from front tires to rear. The rear Michelin weighs 27.1 lbs so the rear wheel actually weighs 31lbs even. I weighed the rears as a package and used the front tire weight so sorry about that.

I will edit my original post

I’ll come down and car sit for you while you’re away. I’ll even go weigh the car again for these Weight Watchers.

Haha. I didn't think to remove all the nonsense in the car till afterward and then realized I wrote down weights of the front tire and rear tire wrong.

I had too much going on removing the plastic rear lip spoiler and doing other work in a condensed time frame. I have a lovely blister from the heat gun...man that glue is nasty.

I hope that blister will get coved by the spoiler!

Edit: Maybe you meant on your hand? If so, that'll heal.

I think he meant his hand, I'm definitely gonna get the heat gun out to remove the m2 emblem. I don't think it's necessary, the car can speak for itself. Plus maybe it will shave a few grams.

Have you considered getting black emblems? Regardless, I would also create a template before removing them in case if you ever want to add them back.

I don't know what it is about debadged cars, but it always looks like something is missing to me. I know most do it for the clean look, but it actually has the opposite effect on me, like something is off.

I have no doubt someone with the carbon pack and manual transmission can break 3700lbs with lightweight forged wheels alone.
Catback Exhaust - 40
Battery - 20
Strut brace - 5
Rear seat delete - 25

Now you're knocking on 3600 for another 4-5k if it matters that much.

Honestly, I can't exploit the cars full potential in Comfort/efficiency. I know some are better drivers than others but it would take a while for anyone to realize any performance gains with this stuff.

Edit: you're looking at 80k + installation fees for 3600lb rocketship

On the x3 they moved where the emblems went from 2018 to 2019, and it seemed no matter where they put them they didn't sit right. I liked black cars with black emblems when I was younger, now I like to just leave the roundels. I got the car for myself, I don't care if anyone looking at it knows the model (sometimes I prefer they don't know )

If I was going to delete the seat I'd get a gt4. Need that for the children. I agree it's gonna be a while to get comfy enough with the car to really get the full potential, that's why I am not even going to consider a tune for a while.
Why would you get a cat back exhaust? I thought we were just trying to remove weight from the front
